Screentimers

About Screentimers

The ONLY pro-screen time comedy parenting podcast. Most parenting podcasts have experts give valuable advice on how to better raise your child. We are not that podcast. Screentimers is here to make parents feel less guilty about letting their kids have screen time. Episodes will have a guest (comedians, writers, celebrities, legends in their own fields, or parent influencers) talk about their personal feelings about screen time and then make fun of their child's favorite show, movie, video game or YouTube channel.

Disney's The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginnings

This week, Matt (https://www.instagram.com/mattkowalick/) & Holly (https://www.instagram.com/hollypraz/) open up the Screentimers (https://www.instagram.com/screentimerspod/)' Vault (well, technically a locksmith opened it because they lost the keys), and review Disney's The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginnings. This direct-to-video prequel has it all: an underwater speakeasy, a jail break, and Ariel's mother's rather gruesome death. (To be fair, Matt and Holly only asked people with landlines. Bold strategy.) In this laugh-filled episode, your favorite comedy-parenting duo breaks down the plot, the chaos, and the questionable creative choices in this forgotten Disney prequel. From unexpected “landmine” moments to mermaid lore that raises more questions than answers, Matt and Holly bring their signature combo of sarcasm, nostalgia, and “why are we watching this?” energy to every minute of the review. Expect hilarious tangents, brutally honest kid-content critiques, and the kind of punchy married-couple banter that makes the journey way more fun than the movie itself. 🎧 Perfect For Parents trapped watching endless kids’ movies, Disney fans, 2000s animation nostalgists, and anyone who loves a smart, funny breakdown of truly baffling children’s content. 🔎 SEO Keywords The Little Mermaid Ariel’s Beginnings review Disney direct-to-video movies kids’ movie podcast parenting comedy podcast children’s movie reviews kid TV and YouTube reviews funny parenting show family entertainment podcast Disney sequel reviews
