This herbicide is used to control the invasive Eurasian water milfoil, but Luke's focus was to understand its impact on native aquatic plants and invertebrates. </p> <p>Initial results show a significant increase in plant biodiversity after herbicide treatment, with no significant impacts on invertebrates. His research has broad implications for government entities, lake associations, and anyone managing aquatic plants.
