27. Come Home to YourSELF : A Guided Yoga Nidra

Welcome to Season Two of Seasons of Self.

This season begins a little differently.

Over the past year, I've shared conversations, reflections, and teachings about living in rhythm with ourselves and the natural world. But as I paused during the last full moon, a deeper question emerged:

What do we actually need right now?

The answer wasn't more information. It was space. Space to slow down. Space to listen to ourselves. Space to connect in and remember our truest SELF.

That's why the first episode of Season Two is a guided Yoga Nidra—a practice of conscious rest that gently supports nervous system regulation while inviting you back into your own inner wisdom.

Released with the New Moon, this practice is an invitation to soften the noise of everyday life, reconnect with your body, and plant a heartfelt intention (Sankalpa) for the season ahead.

Through breath, body awareness, sensory meditation, and a nature-inspired visualization, you'll be guided into a state of deep rest where clarity can arise naturally rather than through effort.

Whether this is your first Yoga Nidra or a familiar practice, I invite you to receive this hour as a gift to yourself. There is nothing to fix. Nothing to achieve. Only an opportunity to come home.

Please listen somewhere you can lie down comfortably and won't be interrupted. This practice is not suitable while driving or operating machinery.

You may wish to have:

A blanket

A pillow beneath your head or knees

Comfortable clothing

An eye pillow if desired

After your practice, consider taking a few moments to journal.

You might ask yourself:

What do I notice now that I couldn't hear before?

What feels different in my body?

What wants to emerge in this new season?

If this practice supported you, I'd love to hear from you.

Leave a review, share this episode with someone who could use a little more rest, or connect with me on Instagram

This is only the beginning. Season Two will include more guided practices, Yoga Nidras, and conversations designed to help you move beyond simply understanding yourself—and into experiencing what it truly feels like to come home to yourSELF.

26. Nervous System Regulation : Expanding Your Capacity for Life

As we move toward the Summer Solstice and the season of fullness, expression, and light, Laura shares a deeply personal reflection on what it truly means to have a regulated nervous system, and why healing isn't about becoming calm all the time.

For years, many of us have been taught that regulation means serenity, stillness, and the absence of strong emotions. But what if regulation isn't about becoming less emotional, less passionate, or less alive?

What if nervous system regulation is actually about increasing our capacity to experience life?

In this episode, Laura explores the difference between suppression and regulation, how burnout and health challenges changed her relationship with healing, and why true regulation allows us to access joy, creativity, grief, intimacy, pleasure, and love without losing ourselves.

Through stories from her own journey and reflections inspired by the Summer Solstice and New Moon in Gemini, she offers a compassionate reminder that healing isn't about becoming smaller—it's about becoming more available for life.

The episode concludes with a guided reflection to help you explore what helps you feel safe, supported, and fully expressed.

Reflection Questions:

🌿 Where have I confused regulation with suppression?

🌿 What emotions, desires, or expressions have I pushed away in the name of safety?

🌿 What helps me return home to myself?

🌿 What supports me in expanding my capacity for life?

🌿 What might become possible if I trusted my ability to hold more joy, love, creativity, and aliveness?

Connect with Laura

Instagram: @laurarosewellness

Website: www.laurarosewellness.com

Drawing from her own experiences with relationships, business, meditation, and recent time spent at The Way of Love retreat, Laura shares how this moon is inviting us to reclaim our energy from scattered timelines and return it to what truly matters.

Many of us find ourselves holding multiple futures at once—different dreams, relationships, possibilities, and identities. While possibility can be exciting, constantly living in potential futures can leave us feeling overwhelmed, distracted, and disconnected from the life unfolding right now.

This Sagittarius Full Moon asks:

What deserves your attention?

What deserves your life force?

What are you ready to recommit to?

Where are you being invited to plant seeds with greater intention?

Laura reflects on the difference between faith and certainty, the power of meditation to create clarity, and the importance of choosing the people, practices, and visions we want to nurture moving forward.
