Cycle Musings: Beating the Winter Blues with Seasonal Living

This episode feels like part channeled message, part journal entry, part coaching session - I'm excited for you to jump in! For years, I dreaded winter. As the winter solstice approached, I’d feel anxious. The shorter days felt heavy, the darkness felt constricting and I often wondered if I was experiencing seasonal depression. But everything changed when I discovered seasonal living. In this solo episode of Seasons of You, I share how working with the Wheel of the Year completely transformed my relationship with winter. Rather than resisting the slower, darker months, I began to understand their purpose and found a deep sense of peace in honouring the season instead of fighting it. This year brought a new layer of learning as I experienced winter while travelling through tropical Australia. Even without cold weather or cosy fires, I discovered that the seasonal shifts were still present, inviting me inward in quieter, more subtle ways. In this episode, I explore: • My personal journey from dreading winter to embracing it • Why so many women struggle during the colder, darker months • How seasonal living can support your mental wellbeing and energy • Working with the Wheel of the Year and the wisdom of winter • Honouring the winter solstice wherever you are in the world • The importance of rest, replenishment and slowing down • How I celebrated the winter solstice through ritual, reflection and family connection • Why living seasonally helps us feel more connected to ourselves and nature Winter isn’t asking you to do more. It’s inviting you to do less. If you’d like to begin living more in rhythm with your natural cycles and the seasons, access my free guide Begin Living in Your Rhythm. Through Her Eyes: Sam, Raised by Design - The Truth About Losing Yourself in Motherhood

The Truth About Losing Yourself in Motherhood What if motherhood didn’t make you lose yourself? What if it simply revealed the parts of you that had been waiting to be remembered all along? In this episode of Seasons of You, I’m joined by Sam from Raised by Design, who helps mothers remember who they are while protecting their children’s magic through Human Design, astrology and cosmic rituals. Together, we explore one of the biggest myths surrounding motherhood: that becoming a mother means sacrificing yourself. Instead, we offer a different perspective. Motherhood doesn’t ask you to disappear. It invites you to come home to yourself. This conversation is for the millennial mums asking, “Who am I now?” Together we explore: • Why motherhood often illuminates the parts of ourselves we’ve been disconnected from • Reparenting yourself alongside raising your children • Human Design as a tool for understanding yourself and your family • How to meet your children’s needs without abandoning your own • Why anger, frustration, and bitterness can be powerful signals that you’re out of alignment • Finding joy, creativity and play again after becoming a mum • Nervous system regulation and creating safety while making changes in your life • Living your Human Design instead of simply learning about it • Building a family rhythm that honours everyone’s unique needs This episode is an invitation to question the stories we’ve inherited about motherhood and create a way of parenting that honours both our children and ourselves. Because your children don’t need a version of you that disappeared. They need the version of you that’s fully alive. Cycle Musings: Understanding Your Luteal Phase - PMS, Mood Swings & Menstrual Cycle Awareness

Why your luteal phase isn’t the problem In this solo episode of Seasons of You, we’re exploring one of the most misunderstood phases of the menstrual cycle: the luteal phase. For many women, the premenstrual phase is associated with PMS, irritability, overwhelm, frustration, mood swings and feeling disconnected from themselves. It’s no wonder the luteal phase gets such a bad reputation. But what if your luteal phase isn’t the problem? What if your premenstrual symptoms are actually valuable information? In this episode, I share a different perspective on the luteal phase and invite you to approach this phase of your cycle with curiosity and compassion, rather than criticism. Together we explore: • What’s happening hormonally during the luteal phase • Common emotional and energetic experiences during the premenstrual phase • The opportunities and gifts of the luteal phase • How menstrual cycle awareness can transform your relationship with PMS • Personal reflections from my own cycle and recurring patterns I’ve noticed over time • Questions you can ask yourself when difficult emotions arise • How cycle awareness can strengthen your relationships and communication • Why your luteal phase may be revealing unmet needs, boundaries, or areas of your life that need attention This episode is an invitation to stop fighting your cycle and start listening to it. The luteal phase is not here to punish you. It’s here to communicate with you. If you’re ready to begin understanding your cycle on a deeper level, download my free guide Begin Living in Your Rhythm, where I walk you through simple ways to start working with your menstrual cycle in everyday life. begin-living-in-your-rhythm.subscribepage.io Come and let me know your biggest takeaway or “a-ha” moment from this episode 🫶🏼 https://www.instagram.com/blossomingwithsarah/ Disclaimer: This podcast is a space for sharing personal stories, experiences and inspiration.
