Questions God Asks | What Does Blessing Look Like
Life often feels like it's pressing in from every direction. There are problems behind us, uncertainty ahead of us, and the temptation to believe that if we can just hold on a little tighter, we'll make it through.
In this episode of Questions God Asks, we walk with Jacob to the banks of the Jabbok River in Genesis 32, where a night of wrestling becomes a lifetime of transformation. Jacob discovers that God's greatest blessing isn't wealth, success, or even an easy path forward—it's a new identity. The limp remains, but the name changes. The struggle continues, but so does God's presence.
What are you holding on to today? More importantly, what is holding on to you? Join us as we explore why the greatest blessing may not be escaping the struggle, but meeting the God who calls you by name and never lets you go.

Questions God Asks | What Is In Your Bag
Jacob left home carrying more than a staff—he carried a lifetime of experience, family patterns, clever strategies, and confidence in his own ability to make life work. But when everything familiar was stripped away and he found himself alone at Bethel, God asked a question that still confronts us today: What are you really counting on?
In this episode of Questions God Asks, we explore Genesis 28:10–22 and Jacob's encounter with God in the wilderness. Long before Jacob changed, repented, or proved himself, God came down, called him by name, and renewed His promises. It's a reminder that salvation begins with God's initiative, not our ingenuity.
What is in your bag? Your experience? Your plans? Your ability to fix what's broken? Or have you learned, like Jacob, that God's presence is worth more than every trick you've accumulated along the way? Join us as we discover why the greatest turning points in life often begin when we finally become still enough to hear God speak.

The Questions God Asks | Is There Anything to Hard for Me
What happens when God’s mercy and God’s judgment stand side by side?
In this message from Genesis 18–19, Pastor Daniel Harding explores God’s question to Abraham and Sarah: “Is anything too hard for the Lord?” Through Sarah’s wounded laughter, Abraham’s intercession, and the coming judgment on Sodom, we are challenged to consider how we respond to God’s mercy, justice, and covenant love. This sermon wrestles honestly with hope, bitterness, mercy, judgment, and what it means to become people who intercede for others rather than stand at a distance in condemnation.

The Questions God Asks | Where Have You Come From and Where Are You Going
In this message from Genesis 16, Pastor Daniel Harding explores God’s question to Hagar: “Where have you come from, and where are you going?” Speaking to graduates and anyone navigating uncertainty, this sermon reflects on how people are often shaped by suffering, shame, fear, and the identities they are trying to escape. Yet God meets Hagar in the wilderness before she has clarity, success, or certainty, reminding us that His presence is not reserved for those who already have life figured out.
Through Hagar’s story, Psalm 40, Ecclesiastes 9, and reflections from George Washington Carver, this message challenges listeners to trust God’s guidance one step at a time. The Christian life is not built on complete control of the future, but on learning to walk faithfully with the God who already knows where we have come from and where we are going.

The Questions God Asks | Will You Go Forward? | Genesis 11 & 12
In Genesis 11–12, God calls Abram to move forward into a future he cannot yet see. But before Abram leaves Haran, he must release the comfort of certainty, familiarity, and the security of what has always been. In this message, Pastor Daniel Harding explores how faith often requires us to move beyond inherited expectations, cultural assumptions, and even the stories we tell ourselves about the past. Drawing from Abraham’s journey, Paul’s words in Corinthians, and everyday examples from life and culture, this sermon asks a deeply personal question: Will we trust God enough to move forward into promise rather than remain where life merely feels manageable?
