[…] There was no cellular communication at that time. It was all knocked out. I think about those people jumping out of that building. I think about those firefighters, cops, EMTs, paramedics, probably some lay people who I've never heard of or never met that ran into that building to do whatever they could. to try and get somebody out, probably having no idea that those buildings could possibly collapse, and that was going to be their last day on this earth. Yeah, and the other thing I think about is I worry. I worry that there is this bell curve of intensity. psychologically this bell curve of intensity financially that from my estimate 2001 to 2011 tons of resources were being poured into being prepared for disasters of this crazy magnitude that federal funding was available that resources were available training was available and then I fear that Human nature in the last 10, 12 years is just the last 10 or 12 years are people who didn't see this happen. […]
