S02E02 What's Done is Done

<p>This episode, tl;dr: </p><p>What if literally everyone blamed sex for things that are objectively unrelated</p><p><br></p><p>--</p><p>We pick up immediately after Sexy Christian Dad&#39;s death (Rob: &quot;RIP to the hottest guy on this show&quot;; Sarah, &quot;Eww&quot;) , and the Bowman house has officially entered its <strong>&quot;everyone copes in the least healthy way possible&quot; era.</strong></p><p>Grace has locked herself in her room, convinced that having sex somehow caused a plane crash, because this show will never miss an opportunity to crank purity culture up to eleven.</p><p>Tom doesn&#39;t exactly help matters. He greets Adrian by announcing that Grace killed SCD... and Adrian helped because she made sex look &quot;too fun and too HOT.&quot;</p><p>Sir... that&#39;s not how aviation works.</p><p>Meanwhile, Kathleen asks George to identify SCD&#39;s body, proving that despite their incredibly messy history, George really does show up when it matters. It&#39;s one of those rare moments where he isn&#39;t spreading gossip or making everyone&#39;s life worse.</p><p>Over at the Juergens house, Amy wants to visit Grace but needs someone to watch baby John. Ben volunteers.</p><p>Amy says no.</p><p>Ben hears &quot;absolutely not&quot; and somehow translates it as, <strong>&quot;Show up anyway.&quot;</strong></p><p>While Amy&#39;s gone, Sausage King casually proposes to Jennifer Coolige in the front seat of his car. JC says yes... but then casually mentions one tiny detail:</p><p>She&#39;s still married.</p><p>Across town, Skipper proposes to Anne because apparently everyone on this show processes unexpected pregnancies by immediately suggesting marriage. Anne isn&#39;t exactly swept off her feet, mostly because she&#39;s wondering whether Skipper loves her or just feels obligated because she&#39;s pregnant.</p><p>At the Bowman house, Anne arrives just in time to find George rubbing Kathleen&#39;s back.</p><p>To be fair, he is comforting a grieving widow.</p><p>To Anne... it looks like George&#39;s timing is suspiciously convenient.</p><p>Meanwhile, Amy tries to comfort Grace, who responds by declaring that baby John is basically divine punishment for Amy having sex.</p><p>Nothing says &quot;thanks for visiting&quot; like insulting someone&#39;s newborn. Love Grace&#39;s villain era. AND FAIR ENOUGH!!! </p><p>Back home, Amy discovers Ben has wandered next door looking for diapers because he left John with Leo and Betty.</p><p>Yes.</p><p>The newly engaged butcher and his technically-still-married fiancée are now babysitting.</p><p>What could possibly go wrong?</p><p>Ben then chooses this exact moment to complain that Amy isn&#39;t paying enough attention to him.</p><p>She&#39;s raising a newborn.</p><p>Read. The. Room.</p><p>Elsewhere, Ashley asks George the question we&#39;ve all been screaming at the TV:</p><p><strong>&quot;Did you actually get a vasectomy?&quot;</strong></p><p>George insists he did... while acting so suspicious that even the audience starts checking his medical records.</p><p>Meanwhile, Ricky and Adrian sneak off for some quality time in the car before Sexy Bald Ruben interrupts them like the world&#39;s most awkward neighbourhood watch volunteer. Surprisingly, instead of threatening Ricky, Ruben actually has a mature conversation about boundaries and promises Adrian he&#39;ll get them a proper house.</p><p>This may be the single healthiest conversation in the entire episode.</p><p>Which is saying something.</p><p>The episode ends on an especially heartbreaking note.</p><p>Grace tells Jack she doesn&#39;t love him anymore and vows she&#39;ll never have sex again, convinced she&#39;s being punished for it.</p><p>Jack is left sitting alone outside with a beer, wondering how his life unraveled so spectacularly in the space of 48 hours.</p><p>✨ Final score:</p><p>Rob: -1</p><p>Ashley: -1</p><p>Sarah: -2 </p>

S02E01 The Big One

<p><strong>&quot;What if there was... another pregnancy?&quot;</strong></p><p>Amy catches Anne hiding a pregnancy test like she&#39;s a teenager sneaking cigarettes, and before you know it, Anne is expecting. George immediately goes into full Law &amp; Order: Vasectomy Unit, insisting the baby can&#39;t possibly be his because he had &quot;the procedure.&quot; Poor Skippy has barely learned Anne&#39;s last name and suddenly he&#39;s being treated like the prime suspect on Maury.</p><p>Meanwhile, Amy is discovering that newborns are less like adorable dolls and more like tiny, screaming dictators. Baby John cries constantly, Amy hasn&#39;t slept in approximately seventeen years, and Ben somehow decides <strong>this</strong> is the perfect time to complain that their relationship isn&#39;t progressing fast enough.</p><p>Read the room, Be.</p><p>In one of the season&#39;s most unexpected twists, Ricky keeps wandering into the house and... being useful? He cooks dinner, calms John down in seconds, and generally behaves like someone who accidentally wandered in from a completely different, much more responsible TV show.</p><p>Ashley, meanwhile, continues to be the show&#39;s greatest detective. Leo introduces his glamorous new girlfriend, and Ashley takes one look before basically saying, &quot;Isn&#39;t that the escort Tom hired?&quot; Ashley could solve cold cases if anyone let her.</p><p>George spends the episode proving that if information exists, he <strong>will</strong> share it with the worst possible person at the worst possible moment. Skippy learns Anne is pregnant thanks to George&#39;s inability to mind his own business, immediately panics, and copes by drinking enough to make every decision dramatically worse.</p><p>Over on Team Teen Drama, Grace is convinced she&#39;s making a mature adult decision, Adrian is convinced she&#39;s making a terrible mistake, and Ricky somehow finds himself giving one of the episode&#39;s most emotionally honest speeches—this time ripping into Ruben for abandoning Adrian years ago. It&#39;s always jarring when Ricky briefly becomes the wisest person in the room.</p><p>Ben and Ricky continue their eternal rivalry, except now it&#39;s less &quot;Who gets Amy?&quot; and more &quot;Who can financially support a baby?&quot; It&#39;s basically The Apprentice: Teen Dad Edition.</p><p>Just when you think the episode is wrapping up with the usual mix of jealousy, awkward family dinners, and George Juergens creating fresh chaos...</p><p>...the show drops an absolute bomb.</p><p>Sexy Christain Dad... Rob&#39;s favorite smug, hairy chested, BABE of the CENTURY who I would convert to any religion for ... DIES in a plane crash.</p><p>This is a dark, dark day in for this podcast. Please hold Rob in your thoughts. </p>
