Friendship Isn't a Hallmark Movie

This week, the girls tackle one of the hardest and least talked about parts of adulthood: friendship.

Because despite what every coming-of-age movie promised us, friendships aren't always easy, permanent, or simple. In fact, Dalany and Payton argue that friendships might actually be more complicated than romantic relationships.

The girls talk about all the different kinds of friendships they've experienced: the lifelong besties, the fly-on-the-wall friends, the activity friends, the coworkers who accidentally became family, the friends-in-law, and of course, the legendary A-A-Ron friends. They unpack what they thought friendship would look like growing up versus what it actually looks like as adults.

They talk about:

✨ Why making and maintaining friendships gets so much harder as you age

💔 The friendship breakups that still hurt

🤝 How to manage expectations, boundaries, and compatibility

🌱 When friendships evolve and when they slowly devolve

⚖️ When to fight for a friendship and when to let the fade happen

🔥 Friendship hot takes, including the controversial opinion that some people are only good in group settings

And then the girls ask the real Elephant Room question:

Who do you still miss?

Because some friendships leave marks on us forever, even when they're over.

At the end of the day, finding your people takes time. Some friendships are seasonal. Some are lifelong. Some are complicated. And some people somehow become home.

Luckily for Dalany and Payton, they're pretty sure they're stuck with each other.

The chaos is emotional, the hot takes are controversial, and the elephant in the room is that we're all still figuring out how to be friends. 🐘✨

Call your best friend. Text the one you miss. And come sit in the Elephant Room with us.

The Chaos Never Took PTO (Chaos Chronicles #2 S2)

The girls are back after a month "off"... and by off, we mean barely surviving the chaos that was May.

This month has officially been dubbed May Madness, and for good reason. Between work, life, travel, unexpected opportunities, and the general nonsense that seems to follow them wherever they go, Dalany and Payton have a lot of catching up to do. (not really, you know what we mean)

The girls fill you in on everything that's happened over the past month, what they've been learning, what they've been surviving, and what exciting things are coming next. There was even a trip where they got to see each other in person, but unfortunately no episode came from it because they spent the entire time simply enjoying being together. Apparently friendship won over content creation for once (well...kinda).

But don't worry, the reunion drought won't last long.

The girls reveal some exciting plans that will have them seeing each other again much sooner than expected, tease an upcoming episode they're especially excited about, and reflect on how quickly life can change when you least expect it.

Of course, no Chaos Chronicles episode would be complete without a little discussion of fate, coincidence, and the growing body of evidence that Payton's manifestation powers may actually be becoming a problem. 🍌⚾

The chaos is back, the life updates are overdue, and the elephant in the room is that taking a month off somehow gave us even more stories to tell.

So grab your drink, settle in for the catch-up, and come spiral with us in the Elephant Room. 🐘✨

The Sunday Scaries

There are two types of girls on a Sunday: the productive go-getters and the productive rest-ers.

This week, Dalany and Payton spend an hour trying to convince themselves they're the second type.

As the Sunday Scaries settle in, both girls are running on fumes. Payton is preparing for a trip to Las Vegas, Dalany is recovering from being sick, and neither of them feels particularly ready to face another work week. Naturally, this leads to a deep discussion about rest, productivity, and the guilt that somehow manages to sneak into both.

The girls talk about:

☕ Their ideal Sunday routines

😴 Why resting can feel harder than working

📞 The importance of calling your best friend every Sunday (a long-standing Elephant Room tradition)

✨ How to hype yourself up when motivation is low

🫶 How to calm yourself down when life feels overwhelming

🌅 What their dream days would actually look like if reality wasn't a factor

Somewhere between the productivity talk and the exhaustion, things get a little delusional. The girls start planning fantasy Sundays, romanticizing their lives, and wondering if maybe the secret to happiness is simply allowing yourself to take a nap.

Because sometimes the most productive thing you can do is rest.

The vibes are sleepy, the tangents are caffeine-fueled, and the elephant in the room is that neither of us wants it to be Monday.

So put off your chores for another hour, grab a blanket, and come sit in the Elephant Room with us. 🐘☁️
