[…] So what's it like when you're actually actively out there in the community on display doing it? I would say I found a lot of struggle and challenge on this side of the planet. You know, UK, Europe, I found it to be quite challenging. But interestingly, when I went to Asia for the first time, not bikepacking, I went to Malaysia a year beforehand and I would see huge amounts of Muslim women all covered up and going with their husbands and big group rides and, you know, bikes. It was very, very normal. And I think for me, one thing that I really capitalized during my trip was actually being a recognizable Muslim woman, like in a lot of countries. […]
