3 Excuses Keeping You From Making Some Extra Money
When I was recording this episode, it was perfect happenstance that I heard people mention a few specific things regarding building a business. In this episode, we'll dissect each of those issues.People said: "What if I don't want a side hustle. What if I want to keep this a hobby?""Once I get started, I will be fine, but getting started is the hardest part." (Hint: listen to episodes 1 and 2 for more!)"I have no idea what I'm doing."These sayings aren't just sayings but potential excuse...

Should I Work with Friends and Family?
Most people do one of two things: they immediately jump at the chance, or they avoid working with friends and family like the plague. Ultimately, you'll have to answer this question yourself, but in this episode, I give a list of pros and cons that will help you decide if it seems like a good idea for you. With my own real-life examples —good and bad—, my goal is to give you the tools to help you make a prudent decision about whether or not it's a good idea to have your mom as a client. ...

3 Types of Social Media Content That Perform Well
We all know that social media can be a beast. There are so many creators and content types. Even starting to film a video can feel like a feat until you, like Nike said, just do it.
These three types of content are going to help a) you know what to post, b) your content most likely perform better, and c) get started!
As promised, I included some examples below:
Skits --> https://www.instagram.com/reel/CrWhF8dJZ86/
Trends --> https://www.instagram.com/reel/CreYzfruVZv/
Short Videos --> https://www.instagram.com/reel/CxBt-iUuSVq/
It's been your homework to get the social media page of your choice up and running. (I've been picking on Instagram, but honestly, anything works if you choose to use social media as a marketing platform.) Now, it's time to get posting!

When To Do Work For Free
There's something I need to clarify from the last episode (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xtbQSglZBoY).
Let's get something straight: you do not have to do anything for free. If you're working, you can—and should—be compensated for your time. This is a rule of thumb we should live by, and you'll hear me mention this in the episode.
And—and that's a big AND—there may be some opportunities especially in the beginning or at other pertinent times as you build your business where doing some work for free could happen to be beneficial.
This episode breaks down three of those instances.

How to Charge: Three Methods To Help You Figure Out Your Prices
We made it! Yes, we had quite a bit to get through before we could get here, and as you know, it's all necessary for the process.
This episode is about how to charge, and trying to figure this out can be an absolute beast, especially if you're service-based. Should you charge hourly? Per project? What about a package deal? There are so many options that you can choose from. My goal with this episode is to narrow you down to a few options.
I take you through three specific methods depending on your current business level to help you determine your pricing. One is as simple as looking around to see what other businesses like yours are doing, but another requires trial and error. The most intensive one will send you back to your high school Algebra 1 class. Don't worry. I walk you through it, but you should probably watch along on YouTube here: https://youtube.com/@kdlcreativeco
We're diving right in because your Instagram account should be up now 👀, and your business name should be chosen. Before we start talking to clients, we need to know how much we're charging them, and I'm here to help!
If you haven't grabbed your notebook yet, this will be an episode where you'll probably want to do that. Like stat.

10 Things To Accept Now That Will Make You A Better Entrepreneur
I know, I know.
You're wondering when we will get to all of the juicy stuff of how do I charge, who do I work with, how do I find them, the list goes on, and I promise that all starts next week.
However, before we jump into that material, there are a few more things that you need to know—well, 10 things in fact—that will help to make your entrepreneurship journey at least a little bit smoother.
This episode is more about assessment because every point is something I wish I had known and accepted sooner. Some of these points may seem obvious at first, but as you continue in your entrepreneurship journey, you may start to notice some of these pop up for you. I would rather you know this now rather than later when you're underway.
You'll just have to take my word on this one.

How to Get Past the Fear of Starting
So you listened to episode one and said, "Sure! I can do that," but then "never got around to it."
Maybe you thought about it and almost went to press publish, but then you started having some thoughts:
What if no one supports me?
What if I'm not good enough to do this?
What if I can't keep up with this commitment?
What if everything goes right, and I can't handle it?
Not to worry because in this episode, we're addressing five fears that may have kept you from starting, but they won't continue to keep you from starting.
To get past the fear though, we gotta crack them Bibles open baby! Don't forget to grab your drink of choice and a notebook too, and let's get ready to carpe diem.

How to Start a Side Hustle
I hope you're ready to carpe diem because I know I am!
Wow! I cannot believe we made it to the first episode! In episode 1, I'm sharing my story and how you can start—and a little of what to expect when starting—your creative venture today. No really. You have homework, but it should only take a few minutes.
Plus, I share one of my favorite scriptures that will give you some courage if you're feeling unworthy or maybe a little fearful but don't worry. We're covering that—how to get over the fear—in episode two.
Before I get too ahead of myself, let's start with this episode, shall we?
If you're not ready, you better get ready because we're headed on the journey of a lifetime!
