When you think of self-care, do you have this fear that your self-care is going to somehow morph into some kind of self-centered conceitedness? Do you immediately think about the cost of your self-care? Like, I can't afford that, or is it really worth the money, etc. To really be able to assess how close you are to the restriction side of the line, think about how you grew up. And if your parents were like, you know, don't use the good china, that's for the company, or only wear the nice shoes to like a funeral or something. If any of that sounds familiar, then there's probably some embedded shame around spending too much on yourself. […]
