Guided Meditation for Connection: Earth, Energy & the Universe
There’s a particular kind of difficult that doesn’t look like much from the outside.
You’re functioning. You’re getting through the days. But something feels muffled, like there’s a layer of glass between you and your own life. You know you’re supposed to feel things, and maybe you did once, but right now you can’t quite reach them.
Sometimes this happens after loss. Sometimes after a long period of stress or change. Sometimes it arrives quietly and you’re not even sure when it started.
This meditation doesn’t try to fix that.
It doesn’t ask you to find happiness, locate what’s wrong, or move yourself somewhere different. It simply offers a quiet space to notice that you’re here, to spend a few unhurried minutes with yourself, without asking anything of what you find.
There are long pauses in this one. That’s intentional. You don’t need to fill them.
You don’t need to suddenly feel better. Perhaps, for now, it’s enough to have spent these few quiet minutes with yourself.
And whenever you need to, you can come back.
When You Can’t Quite Feel Anything Journal Prompts
* When you check in with yourself honestly right now, what word would you use to describe how you’ve been feeling lately, not how you think you should be feeling, but how you actually are?
* Think about the last time you felt genuinely present in your own life. What was happening? What was different?
* Is there something you’ve been carrying for a long time that you haven’t fully acknowledged, even to yourself?
* The meditation asks: what would feel kind to me today? Sit with that question for a moment. What comes, if anything?
* If a friend described feeling the way you’ve been feeling, what would you want them to know?

Making Friends As An Adult Is Hard. This Might Help.
Making new friends as an adult is one of those things nobody really warns you about.
When we’re younger, friendship tends to happen around us. School, university, work, relationships, children, we find ourselves around the same people, and slowly, almost without noticing, some of them become friends.
And then life changes.
People move. Relationships end. We leave communities, outgrow places that once felt like home. And suddenly connection doesn’t happen automatically anymore.
Maybe you do have people in your life, but still find yourself longing for someone you can really talk to. Someone to call. Someone who knows the person you are now.
That particular ache doesn’t get named very often. This meditation tries to do that, and to make a little room for the desire itself, without rushing you toward anything.
A quiet season in your life isn’t necessarily a permanent one. Sometimes we find ourselves between versions of our lives, after some connections have fallen away, and before the new ones have had time to grow.
Leave the door open.
Making Friends As An Adult Journal Prompts
* When did friendship last feel easy and natural in your life? What was present then that feels different now?
* Is there someone already in your life you’d like to know a little better, someone you’ve thought about reaching out to, but talked yourself out of? What’s actually stopping you?
* What kind of friend do you want to be, and does the way you’re showing up for people right now reflect that?
* Think about the connections that have mattered most to you. What did they have in common? What does that tell you about what you’re actually looking for?
* The meditation asks you to think of one small opening you could create. What would that look like for you this week, something small enough to actually do?
