In Revelation 3:7–13, Jesus speaks to a church with little power but enduring faithfulness. Jesus reminds them that he holds the key of David and opens doors that no one can shut.
In this sermon, Clint Patronella considers the opportunity Christ provides, the opposition his people face, and the promise of overcoming through his power. Jesus calls his people to hold fast to his word and persevere in faithfulness, promising that those who conquer will become permanent pillars in God's temple and belong to him forever.

05 Wake Up Call - Revelation 3:1-6
In Revelation 3:1–6, Jesus confronts the church in Sardis with a sobering diagnosis: they have a reputation for being alive, but they are dead.
In this sermon, we follow Jesus’ urgent call to wake up, remember what we have received, repent, and hold fast. Through the outline Wake-up Call, You Snooze You Lose, and Rise and Shine, we see the danger of spiritual complacency, the life-giving power of God’s Word, and the promises Christ gives to those who conquer.
The church in Sardis had trusted its reputation and security rather than remaining spiritually alert. Jesus calls his people to wake up, strengthen what remains, and find their hope in him, the one who cleanses us, keeps our names in the book of life, and confesses us before the Father.

04 Tolerating the Intolerable - Revelation 2:18-29
In Revelation 2:18–29, Jesus speaks to a church that is growing in love, faith, service, and endurance, yet dangerously compromised by what it has chosen to tolerate.
In this sermon, Clint Patronella considers how the church in Thyatira is commended for growth, compromised by tolerance, and crowned with Christ. Jesus calls his people to repent of compromise, hold fast to what they have, and remain faithful until he comes, promising that those who conquer will share in his kingdom and receive the Morning Star.
