Episode 024 | Vegas Wins the Lottery. Now the Draft Gets Interesting
The lottery balls have spoken — and Vegas is on the clock.
Sevrin Lavenstein and Jenna Rosenthal are together in person for Episode 24 of Set 6, breaking down the MLV Draft Lottery results and what they could mean heading into the November 23 draft. With the Vegas Thrill holding the No. 1 overall pick, the conversation turns to potential trades, roster needs and which teams might prioritize proven veterans over emerging college talent.
Why only two rounds? Why isn’t it a snake draft? And what happens if a drafted athlete stays in college? Sevrin and Jenna tackle your draft questions, explore possible moves involving Omaha, Grand Rapids, DC and NorCal, and discuss what welcoming a rookie really looks like from a veteran player’s perspective.
Plus: Team USA’s undefeated Final Six run, Olivia Babcock’s decision to return to Pitt, Leah Edmond’s Kentucky Hall of Fame recognition and volleyball’s growing presence in mainstream sports media.
Who should Vegas take first — and which team should make a trade? Drop your predictions and mailbag questions in the comments.
