We live in a culture of prayer that often looks less like surrendering to God's will and more like sending Him a courtesy update. We "FYI" God—bringing Him a pre-determined plan, an outcome we've already decided on, and a result we expect Him to rubber-stamp. And the moment the door opens, we claim, "God said yes!"
But if God truly ordained it, why are we burning ourselves out, striving in human effort, and living in constant fear of losing it?

We live in a hyper-commercialized world that has skillfully tied our bank accounts to our identity. We have been sold a lie: that spending money proves our importance, validates our accomplishments, and demonstrates our love.
