In this podcast, I discuss the ways that I was set free from the bondage of depression, anxiety, and death. I was radically saved and transformed through only one name.    Ep 11│ I Ruined Most of My Friendships

   In today's episode, I discuss how the Holy Spirit has been healing my mind in various relationships in my life. I shared a little about how He made me realize how poorly I acted towards those around me, while at the same time expecting my friends to sacrifice everything for me. I was unwilling to give them my time and unwilling to keep my promises. I ruined almost every friendship in my life due to my selfishness and pride. I used to have a toxic "Main Character Energy," but Jesus has healed me and given me a heart to become a real friend to those around me.    Ep 10│Faith Vs Feeling

   My goal with this podcast is to strengthen our faith by sharing the things I'm learning from the Holy Spirit. This past week, I went through a lot of mental struggles. In the midst of one of these struggles, it finally clicked in what our Father and the Holy Spirit were trying to teach me. Feelings can lead us astray if we let them. The enemy loves to use our feelings to manipulate the way we see our Father. If he can get us to feel a certain way enough to leave the faith, then he has succeeded. Faith is choosing God, no matter what feelings come to you: anger, confusion, sadness, or joy. If we don't share the same desires as Christ, then we will be moving away from where he is calling us to be. If we continue to sacrifice our flesh and actively choose our Lord in all situations, then we will all be able to look to the head, who is Christ, and move as a unity in one direction.    Ep 9│ Exploring Secular Music

   The word of God repeatedly emphasizes the power we hold in our words - they have the ability to either give life or bring death. As believers, it is important that we have faith in all that our Savior tells us. In the present times, we are exposed to an overwhelming amount of content, which we consume incessantly. I took it upon myself to examine some songs, both those that are explicitly blasphemous and those that promote negative emotions such as sadness and even grooming. I barely scratched the surface of the vast number of songs that promote sexual immorality, lustful fantasies, the glorification of money, and violence. We need to be more aware of the lyrics in the songs we sing and the messages they convey. It's time to take responsibility and stop mindlessly repeating words without understanding their impact. As believers who have been born again, we have faith in all that our savior has said and we must act accordingly. We are no longer of this world, so I strongly encourage you to pray and seek guidance on whether or not the music you listen to aligns with your faith. Remember, we must stand firm in our beliefs and not conform to this world. I also share my response to the feedback I received regarding my comments on the blasphemous lyrics in Taylor Swift's new album. Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits. Matthew 12:37 For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.” Proverbs 13:3 Whoever guards his mouth preserves his life; he who opens wide his lips comes to ruin. If we put bits into the mouths of horses so that they obey us, we guide their whole bodies as well. 4 Look at the ships also: though they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are guided by a very small rudder wherever the will of the pilot directs. 5 So also the tongue is a small member, yet it boasts of great things. James 3:3-8 How great a forest is set ablaze by such a small fire! And the tongue is a fire, a world of unrighteousness. The tongue is set among our members, staining the whole body, setting on fire the entire course of life, and set on fire by hell. For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and sea creature, can be tamed and has been tamed by mankind,  but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.    Ep 7│ Dealing With Anxiety & Depression Part 2 ( For the believer )

   Hey guys, in this episode, I continue our conversation on depression and anxiety. If you haven't listened to part one, I encourage you to stop and listen first because I talk about the things I've previously mentioned. In this episode, I discuss these topics: Decline in faith = Opportunity for the enemy to play games with you. Doing everything right but can't seem to shake the depression. The peace we are promised. As an extra tidbit, I talk about how I believe fasting will help us with this. Luke 14:27 - Peace I leave you with; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afriad. Philippians 4:4–7 - Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Romans 15:13 - May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. It can be nerve-racking to step out of our comfort zone to speak the truth we know. It can be harder for us to let go of our own failures in life and accept maybe the pain of our choices can be used for good.
