[…] And when we're symptomatic, when something doesn't feel like it's working, I usually think, okay, what's underneath that symptom? The symptom is a communication from the body. It's telling us about some state of imbalance. That imbalance is often either physical or psycho-spiritual or some combination of the two. But when it's physical, I usually think if we can just identify the physical imbalance and address it, usually we're able to obviate the need to do anything else about the symptoms. Usually things get better. And I think that's mostly true. up until menopause, and I think menopause is a medical anomaly because it's by definition post-reproductive. […]
