You didn’t ask but we still delivered: yeah, it’s a romantasy podcast about Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros – and what happens when desire gets political, fantasy gets feral, and romantasy accidentally holds up a mirror to our deepest collective longings.
Each episode, we read a few chapters of Fourth Wing and trace the edge of where fantasy turns into shadow, asking the question we can’t let go of: why does this all feel so good?
Settle in, y’all. Let’s ride ;)
How many times did we shit on Dain this season? A lot. In this episode we take a dose of our own medicine and ask: what is going on here? What parts of ourselves are we disavowing that are coming out in our STRONG disavowal of Dain?
Join us as we look at why it's so hard for us to take Dain seriously, what he has to teach us, and attempt to reclaim our inner Dain.
Let's ride :)

Thirsty 4 DRAMA (Episode 12)
It’s time to look back on the ENTIRE book of Fourth Wing and tap into our collective thirst. This week we are thirsty for that thing that threads through Xaden and Violet’s relationship, the vibes with the dragons, the dynamic with Dain, Liam’s death, the way that Mira looks in her leathers - it’s DRAMA.
Today’s episode is a little different because we’re looking back on the entire book (and even a TINY bit of book 2 - so spoiler warning) and getting a little caught in the drama ourselves. Join us as we:
Do a 30 second recap of the book through the lenses of Sex, Death, AND Dragons (let us know which one is best)
Once again shit on Dain (who somehow is both anti-drama and a drama-architect)
Debate whether Xaden and Violet’s messiness is hot or not
Talk about why drama is especially alluring in a time of attention overwhelm
LAST EP OF SEASON ONE (though we DO have a few little special episodes coming your way…).
And please rate, review, and subscribe as we continue to build our little community!
LET'S RIDE!

What Violet and Xaden are loyal to
Why loyalty feels especially tricky to talk through - and if there's anything for us to look at there (there always is)
How to make sense of competing loyalties amidst the chaos of these chapters

Thirsty 4 Restraint (Episode 7)

Where exactly is the wall during Violet and Xaden's kiss?
Is Xaden's restraint hot or not? Why? When is it one or the other?
What is the role of desire in making restraint alluring?
It's time to dig in. Let's ride :)

Thirsty 4 Boundary Play (Episode 6)
Things are heating up - in Fourth Wing and in our thirsts. This week we're reading chapters 17 - 20 and we're desperately thirsty for boundary play... that is, when is someone pushing against your boundaries hot and when is it REALLY not. We talk about Xaden and Violet's banter, Tairn and Violet's banter, Dain and Violet's lack of banter, and - of course - how hot it is when Xaden laces Violet's boots.
Good lord. This might be our favorite episode yet.

How deep do Violet's mommy issues run? Is Xaden justified in giving her flack about them?
Do agency and belonging work together or in contrast? How do we reconcile them?
