Now, that's across all the marriages, including the ones where both spouses want about the same amount. Set aside those evenly matched couples, and the wife is the higher drive spouse in 19% to 28% of the marriages. So about one in five to one in a quarter, depending on how you're looking at it. I also looked around just to see if my numbers agreed with other people's and I found a study, an analysis of a study from Australia about health and relationships that puts the wife as a higher drive spouse in about 26% to 31% of couples that experience a large gap.
