Paul’s words remind us that the Christian life is both shared and growing. The gospel brings us into relationship with Christ, and it joins us to one another in a shared purpose. We have the opportunity to take part in what God is doing, not only through our own assignment, but by partnering in the assignments He has entrusted to others.
Wherever we are in that journey, there is still room to grow. Paul’s prayer for the Philippians can become our own prayer: Lord, increase my capacity to love. Teach me to love according to Your truth. Give me discernment to choose what is excellent. God is preparing us and is shaping our lives so that He receives glory and praise now and at His glorious appearing.
Perhaps God has shown you a place where your love has grown cold, or where it has been flowing without banks. Today is an opportunity to bring that area back under the authority of the King and ask Him to make your love abound more and more.

A Supernatural Mission Demands Supernatural Power
The promise has not changed. It is for you, for your children, and for all who are far off. If you are a believer and you have never been baptized in the Holy Spirit, respond today the way the disciples did. Believe what the Father has promised. Ask Him for it. And when the Spirit gives the utterance, yield your voice. If you received years ago but have been living on yesterday's supply, the same believers who were filled in Acts 2 were filled again in Acts 4. Come and be filled again.
And if you have never surrendered your life to Christ, Peter's words are: ‘Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins.’
Then comes the promise: ‘And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.’

When Life Seems Hopeless
From alone under a broom tree to a mountaintop in glory, face to face with Jesus. That’s where God was taking him the whole time.
Call and response:
▪ Despair said, “I’ve had enough.” God said, “I’m not done.”
▪ Despair said, “I’m the only one left.” God said, “I’ve got seven
thousand.”
▪ Despair said, “Take my life.” God said, “I’ve got something better than what you asked for.”
Your broom tree is not your final chapter. The diagnosis, the divorce, the debt, the grief, the depression — it doesn’t get to write the ending. God does.
