Composer, multi-instrumentalist and instrument maker Paul Adams joins Shambhu Sessions for a deeply inspiring conversation about resilience, creativity and the healing power of music.
After a devastating accident cost him portions of three fingers on his fretting hand, Paul had to completely relearn the guitar. By embracing open tunings and developing his own technique, he transformed a profound limitation into the distinctive musical voice that has helped his recordings earn more than 140 million streams on Pandora.
Paul discusses his recent releases "Sundown for Cosmic Cowboys," "Happy Man" and "Deep Resonance"; his collaborations with Australian pianist, vocalist and flugelhorn player Elizabeth Geyer; and his distinctive fusion of new age, ambient, jazz, Americana and music from around the world.
