Save the sound: A look into Adelaide’s music scene
Two years on from the “Save the Cranker” campaign to save Crown and Anchor, one of Adelaide’s treasured live music venues, does the city live up to its reputation as Australia’s only UNESCO City of Music? Liv is joined by her friend Charlotte, a lifelong choral singer, to talk about Charlotte’s experiences performing and earning accolades around the world. They then turn to Adelaide’s music and arts scene, the funding challenges facing local artists, and ways we can all better support the musicians and venues who bring life to the culture of this city.

Gather Round and the Power of Sports: Why We Play
Liv and Josh give us a recap of the Gather Round weekend earlier in the year. Since 2023, Gather Round, the AFL’s festival of footy in the ‘festival state’, has drawn hundreds of thousands of visitors to South Australia. Liv and Josh share some insights into what makes this event so special as a segue to talk about sports and sporting culture more broadly.
Sport, according to Josh, is like a “metaphor for life”. Their conversation touches on themes related to community, camaraderie, and friendships that sport can offer people. They get real about contemporary issues in competitive sports, such as homophobia and racism. They round out their wide-ranging conversation by talking about ways you could get involved in your local sport community.

Flexible Futures: Trading the 9-5 for a Microenterprise
What if employment didn’t have to look like a 9-5 job? What if work could be shaped around someone’s strengths, interests, energy, confidence and life circumstances?
In this episode of Shaping Futures, we explore the world of micro enterprise, small, personal businesses that can create meaningful pathways for people who may not fit neatly into traditional employment systems.
Helen is joined by Josh Fergie from Community Living Project and Erin from Ezzabelle’s Gifts for a warm and honest conversation about what it really takes to help someone build something of their own. Together, they unpack how micro enterprises can support people with disability, neurodivergence, mental health challenges or different life circumstances to discover their skills, build confidence and create work that feels purposeful.
