Share Life Today is a brief daily source of encouragement to share your faith, paired with practical equipping tools and examples to help you get started or share your faith more often. *Named Radio Show of the Year at NRB 2024
Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today."Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven." Have you heard this prayer before? Well, some would say this is perhaps the most famous prayer ever prayed. Jesus said these words when He was teaching His disciples and the people of Israel how to pray during the Sermon on the Mount. Jesus says something surprising during this prayer..."Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done." Well, that makes us ask, what is God's will? What would His kingdom look like here on earth? In the Bible, He actually tells us. It would be every nation, tongue, and people group standing before God and praising Him! And Jesus gave us a job to make it happen. "Go and make disciples of all the nations." So how do we do that? Well first, we must pray, and then we must actually share with those around us the Good News of the Gospel! Not sure where to start? Yes, No, Wait
Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today."Yes!...No...Wait." These are the three answers we hear from God when we ask Him for things in prayer. And God loves to answer us. Like a good father here on earth listens and responds to his children, so does our Father in Heaven. He delights in giving us good things that will benefit and grow us! Have you ever heard the phrase, "you have not because you ask not?" The same is true when it comes to prayer. Many believers feel that if God already know their needs, why must they ask for them? Don't forget-when Jesus taught us to pray in the famous Lord's Prayer, He did not hold back on one of the most basic needs of life..."Give us this day our daily bread..." Even asking for family members or friends to believe in Him is a deep need of our hearts. So ask the Lord today to give you opportunities to share, and He will answer. And bring him your needs! Fulfilling the Great Commission
Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today.Did you know that there are Christians all around the world that have been working tirelessly to fulfill Jesus' last command? He gave us the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19-20: "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you..." And there are many that have taken this very seriously. In fact, there are leaders that are saying the Gospel will be finished going forth and the Great Commission will be fulfilled as early as 2033. A few are saying it could be even earlier than that! And if this is true, the question we must ask ourselves is what role will we play? Let me encourage you: don't wait to start sharing your faith. Don't wait bringing hope to others who are hopeless, desperate, and lost. The time to share is now. Learn more about sharing the Gospel at ShareLife.Today.
