They discuss the landscape of firearm injury prevention at Yale and across the country, building trust among impacted communities, and using science for good.</div>

Cogan is in her 25th year as a school nurse in the Camden City School District in New Jersey. She discusses how her family experienced multiple mass shootings seven decades and multiple generations apart, the critical role of school nurses in public health, and the overlaps between COVID safety and gun safety in schools.</span></span></div> <div class="style-scope ytd-text-inline-expander"> </div> <div class="style-scope ytd-text-inline-expander"><span class= "yt-core-attributed-string yt-core-attributed-string--white-space-pre-wrap" dir="auto"><span class= "yt-core-attributed-string--link-inherit-color" dir="auto">Cogan also teaches the next generation of school nurses and is an inaugural member of Brady United's newest advocacy arm, This Is Our Lane.
