We’re Ellie and Layla, a mum and daughter who find the "I thought it was just me" moments in everyday life and overthink them out loud.
Two different life stages, scarily similar brains, and opinions on pretty much everything. Expect honest conversations, questionable logic, random tangents and the occasional thing we probably should have edited out.
If you've ever thought, **"Surely it’s not just me?"**... it isn't. You'll fit right in.

Ever feel completely overwhelmed by things that really shouldn't be that overwhelming?
This week, we're overthinking the first-world problems taking up a ridiculous amount of brain space, including why going on holiday somehow creates more admin than staying at home.
As usual, that's where we start. Where the conversation ends up is another matter entirely.
Are we overwhelmed, overthinking... or is this genuinely just how our brains work?

Supermarkets have finally pushed us over the edge
Supermarkets have finally pushed us over the edge.
This week we're overthinking the weekly food shop: self-checkouts, receipt-scanning exit gates, increasingly expensive carrier bags and the very serious question of why buying food now feels like an obstacle course where you're also somehow under suspicion.
And, because we rarely manage to stick to the actual subject, we also end up discussing:
An eight-year-old giving us some brutally honest feedback
Ellie's encounter with a particularly well-guarded 60p carrier bag
A minor IKEA theft involving an eight-year-old
Our slightly pointless 9am trip to Clarkson's pub
Growing up in an "ingredient household"
The childhood snack situation that still feels mildly traumatic
And the innocent phrase that got Layla into rather a lot of trouble at work
So yes, ostensibly this is an episode about supermarkets.
It doesn't entirely stay that way.
It can't be just us?

Has MAFS Completely Lost The Plot This Season?
We can’t believe this is just us, but why does everyone on MAFS feel completely unhinged this season?
This week, we’re back in our comfort zone and overthinking Married at First Sight. From instant red flags and forced attraction, to chaotic dinner parties, weird power moves and couples who clearly should never have been matched in the first place, we’re sharing all our opinions on this year’s cast.
In this episode, we talk about whether attraction can actually grow if it is not there at the start, why some people seem to mistake peace for boredom, and whether reality TV deliberately matches people with emotional baggage just to create drama. We also get into the contestants we secretly love, the ones we absolutely do not trust, and the strange way some people seem more interested in airtime than actual connection.
We also discuss toxic relationships, insecurity, projection, traditional values, whether certain cast members are being set up as villains on purpose, and why some of this season feels so intense that it almost seems scripted. Plus, we get into the messy spoilers, the behind-the-scenes rumours, and the contestants who make us change our minds every five minutes.
Tune in if you’re watching MAFS and shouting at the TV, obsessing over who is genuine and who is performing, or wondering whether anyone on this show is actually ready for marriage.
