More Than Your Flaws | Devotional Meditation for Women who are Learning to See Themselves Through the Eyes of the Artist
Welcome to Season 2 of She Rises Nourished. 🤍
We're beginning a new season by continuing a conversation that matters deeply: how we see ourselves.
What if you've been standing too close to the mirror—focusing so intently on individual “flaws” that you've forgotten to see the whole woman God created?
In this gentle morning devotional meditation, we'll slow down, breathe, and explore what it means to be God's workmanship—His poiēma, something intentionally made.
Because your body carries so much more than an image.
It carries your story. Your experiences. Your relationships. Your purpose.
And maybe today isn't about changing what you see in the mirror.
Maybe it's about learning to look again.
Scripture
Ephesians 2:10 — “For we are God's workmanship...”
Psalm 139:14 — “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”
1 Samuel 16:7 — “People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”
Morning Intention
Today, I will look for what is good in me instead of searching for what is wrong with me.

And if this meditation encouraged you this morning, share it with a woman who may need the reminder too.
Look again. You were never just a reflection.

Ep. 52 | The Mirror Isn't the Problem | Devotional Meditation for healing the way you see yourself.
A devotional meditation for the woman tired of fighting her reflection
What if the woman in the mirror was never the enemy?
If you've spent years criticizing your reflection, comparing your body, struggling to believe compliments, or waiting until you look different to finally feel good enough, this meditation is for you.
Today we're slowing down and inviting God into the way you see yourself.
Through quiet breathing, reflection, Scripture and prayer, we'll begin noticing the thoughts you've repeated for so long that they may feel like truth—and practice taking those thoughts captive instead of allowing them to take us captive.
You don't have to suddenly love everything you see.
We're simply beginning to see ourselves with different eyes.
Scriptures
Romans 12:2 — “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
2 Corinthians 10:5 — “Take captive every thought…”
Affirmations
• My body is not my enemy.
• This thought is not automatically the truth.
• I am learning to see myself differently.
• I don't have to criticize myself to care for myself.
• I can want to become healthier without hating who I am today.
This week's practice: When you notice a critical thought about your body, pause and ask:
Is this truth—or is this simply a thought I've practiced for a very long time?
You don't have to heal everything today. Just begin noticing.
And the next time you look in the mirror, remember:
The woman looking back at you is not the enemy.

Ep. 51 | Lay Down the Shame | Devotional Meditation for Women who are Longing to Heal
What are you carrying today that Jesus never asked you to carry?
In this episode of She Rises Nourished, we’re slowing down, breathing deeply, and making space to release shame, self-condemnation, and the pressure to punish ourselves for getting it wrong.
Jesus calls us to take up our cross and follow Him, but shame is not part of that cross.
This morning meditation is an invitation to recognize the difference between growth and condemnation, responsibility and self-punishment, conviction and shame.
You’ll be guided through slow breathing, scripture, reflection,
and prayer so you can begin your day feeling lighter, grounded, and reminded that you can keep following Jesus even when you stumble.
Luke 9:23 — “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.”
Romans 8:1 — “There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”
If shame, emotional eating, all-or-nothing thinking, or constantly feeling like you need to “start over” has been part of your health journey, listen to this week’s episode of the Be Nourished 360 Podcast: Stop Starting Over.
We go deeper into why one difficult moment doesn’t erase your progress and how to stop abandoning yourself every time life gets messy.
