freedom from fear.
on this episode we’re discussing: fear is normal so strive to be relentless in fear, continue anyways when fear and hesitancy are present, so is God—that’s when we need him the most if we didn’t have fear, we wouldn’t need God fear means you’re stepping out your comfort zone and operating in faith and obedience fear to disobey** relentless: oppressively constant; harsh or inflexible “For I know the plans I have for you” #— #this is the Lord’s declaration #— #“plans for your well-being, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11 CSB) “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10 NLT) 🌱 let’s stay connected: https://linktr.ee/jrheylynn

mind your mental.
on this episode we’re discussing: the importance of prioritizing your mental health mental health is real and can still be present in the midst of God’s presence God appointed people to treat and care for mental health it’s ok to seek help, #itsoknottobeok break the stigma and heal the trauma you can’t heal what you don’t acknowledge david’s depression 1 How long, Lord? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me? 2 How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and day after day have sorrow in my heart? How long will my enemy triumph over me? 3 Look on me and answer, Lord my God. Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep in death, 4 and my enemy will say, “I have overcome him,” and my foes will rejoice when I fall. 5 But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. 6 I will sing the Lord’s praise, for he has been good to me. a Godly perspective.
on this episode we’re discussing: when i made decisions that were of my own will and flesh, i received suffering and had regret when i made decisions based on God’s will, i received favor sometimes things are happening for you and not to you shifting your perspective holds a significant impact on how you allow God to show up for you sometimes it’s God who leads you to the wilderness “But someone who does not know, and then does something wrong, will be punished only lightly. When someone has been given much, much will be required in return; and when someone has been entrusted with much, even more will be required.” (Luke 12:48 NLT) 🌱 let’s stay connected: https://linktr.ee/jrheylynn

a God of comfort (reclaiming my faith).
impromptu episode “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort. He comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any kind of affliction, through the comfort we ourselves receive from God. For just as the sufferings of Christ overflow to us, so also through Christ our comfort overflows. If we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation. If we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings that we suffer. And our hope for you is firm, because we know that as you share in the sufferings, so you will also share in the comfort.” (2 Corinthians 1:3-7 CSB) “The Lord is near the brokenhearted; he saves those crushed in spirit.” (Psalms 34:18 CSB) “He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds. He counts the number of the stars; he gives names to all of them. Our Lord is great, vast in power; his understanding is infinite. The Lord helps the oppressed but brings the wicked to the ground.” (Psalms 147:3-6 CSB) 🌱 let’s stay connected: https://linktr.ee/jrheylynn

when words fail.
on this episode we’re discussing: constant remembrance of who God is in moments of frustration and discouragement, i remember if i never heard another person’s testimony, my faith wouldn’t waiver because he’s already shown me who he is even when i can’t fathom the words to say to him, he is a father who already knows and he keeps his promises even when i don’t think he hears me, his actions show me otherwise “So God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us. This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary.” (Hebrews 6:18-19 NLT) “For God is not a God of disorder but of peace, as in all the meetings of God’s holy people.” (1 Corinthians 14:33 NLT) 🌱 let’s stay connected: https://linktr.ee/jrheylynn (https://linktr.ee/jrheylynn)

delayed obedience is still disobedience.
on this episode we’re discussing: recent convictions getting in your own head and imposter syndrome the enemy will send distractions questioning purpose and assignment feeling stuck but not being obedient in movements of uncertainty, follow the last instruction God gave God desires immediate compliance “Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me. “Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing. Anyone who does not remain in me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers. Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned. But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted! When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father.” (John 15:4-8 NLT) 10 When you obey my commandments, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Father’s commandments and remain in his love. (John 15:10 NLT) “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” (Romans 8:28 NLT) 🌱 let’s stay connected: https://linktr.ee/jrheylynn (https://linktr.ee/jrheylynn)

ask and you shall receive.
on this episode we’re discussing: when you ask God for something, he’ll give you exactly what you’re looking for sometimes what we ask for doesn’t show up in the ways we want it to God has a way of taking us through a special process to earn what we want versus just giving it to us to receive, we have to make room “Ask, and it will be given to you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened to you.” Matthew 7:7 CSB 🌱 let’s stay connected: https://linktr.ee/jrheylynn (https://linktr.ee/jrheylynn)

a saint is just a sinner.
on this episode we’re discussing: there’s no perfect christian #noperfectwalk you come to the lord as you are, but you don’t stay as you are. not our place to condemn our convictions are not someone else’s convictions we all go through character development and temptations and dilemmas but that’s so the glory can go to God when we overcome it’s not about where you started or where you fell, it’s when you decided to get up and keep going. a saint is just a transformed sinner how can you fully know God or what he’s capable of if you lived a life that never needed him Conviction: a formal declaration that someone is guilty of a criminal defense; a firmly held belief or opinion or the quality of showing that one is firmly convinced of what one believes or says Judgmental: having or displaying an excessively critical point of view Critical: expressing adverse or disapproving comments or judgments Accountable: required or expected to justify actions or decisions; responsible Perfect: having all the required or desirable elements, qualities, or characteristics; free from any flaw or defect in condition or quality Condemn: to express complete disapproval of, typically in public; sentence (someone) to a particular punishment, especially death Imperfect Luke 15:4-7 Condemn John 3:16-18 Matthew 11:28 Accountability Galatians 6:1 Hebrews 3:13 Judgmental Romans 14:4-5 Matthew 7:1-5 🌱 let’s stay connected: https://linktr.ee/jrheylynn (https://linktr.ee/jrheylynn)

it’s nothing back there.
on this episode we’re discussing: don’t look back to where you used to be when God pulls you out of something, stay out of it and don’t look back—unless HE calls you back to it don’t compare yourself to who you used to be wherever and whoever you are now is where and who you’re supposed to be don’t be ashamed of where you started but don’t romanticize it either “getting back to the old me” or “getting to know the new you” trauma and/or change requires you to begin a new normal at the beginning of the new you “But Lot’s wife looked back and became a pillar of salt. ” (Genesis 19:26 CSB) “But someone who does not know, and then does something wrong, will be punished only lightly. When someone has been given much, much will be required in return; and when someone has been entrusted with much, even more will be required.” (Luke 12:48 NLT) 🌱 let’s stay connected: https://linktr.ee/jrheylynn (https://linktr.ee/jrheylynn)

it had to happen.
on this episode we’re discussing: sometimes what we want is not in the proper timing sometimes God has something he wants us to learn or experience before we get to our desires we have to appreciate our process whatever you lose isn’t from God—God doesn’t give for it to be taken we may not understand in the moment but it’ll make sense later we will always face adversity, God doesn’t make problems go away but he does make them easier to deal with after it happens, don’t look back “Let your eyes look forward; fix your gaze straight ahead. ” (Proverbs 4:25 CSB) “Consider it a great joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you experience various trials, because you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its full effect, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing.” (James 1:2-4 CSB) 🌱 let’s stay connected: https://linktr.ee/jrheylynn (https://linktr.ee/jrheylynn)

had to start somewhere.
on this episode we’re discussing: starting small 2021 goal, 2023 execution, 2025 rebrand asking for wisdom on the journey divine timing perfectionist is a pretty way to mask fear, anxiety, and insecurities start now, grow later 10 Now it pleased the Lord that Solomon had requested this. 11 So God said to him, “Because you have requested this and did not ask for long life or riches for yourself, or the death of your enemies, but you asked discernment for yourself to administer justice, 12 I will therefore do what you have asked. I will give you a wise and understanding heart, so that there has never been anyone like you before and never will be again. 13 In addition, I will give you what you did not ask for: both riches and honor, so that no king will be your equal during your entire life. 14 If you walk in my ways and keep my statutes and commands just as your father David did, I will give you a long life.” (1 Kings 3:10-14 CSB) 🌱 let’s stay connected: https://linktr.ee/jrheylynn (https://linktr.ee/jrheylynn)

while i wait.
**apologies in advance for the mic ruffles and congestion😩** on this episode we’re discussing: trusting God in the waiting room the importance of waiting the benefits of waiting growing in faith, discipline, self-worth staying encouraged tests and temptation where i cast my focus while i’m waiting surrendering control becoming a vessel, a place where the holy spirit can dwell discipleship 19 For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross. (Colossians 1:19-20 NIV) But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8 NIV) 🌱 let’s stay connected: https://linktr.ee/jrheylynn (https://linktr.ee/jrheylynn)

the waiting room.
on this episode we’re discussing: what is the waiting room? what are we waiting for? what is the experience like? the importance of obedience glorifying God with your mind, body, and spirit trusting the will of God period of preparation and protection pruning: trim (a tree, shrub, or bush) by cutting away dead or overgrown branches or stems, especially to increase fruitfulness and growth “until the day he was taken up to heaven after giving his chosen apostles further instructions through the Holy Spirit. During the forty days after he suffered and died, he appeared to the apostles from time to time, and he proved to them in many ways that he was actually alive. And he talked to them about the Kingdom of God. Once when he was eating with them, he commanded them, “Do not leave Jerusalem until the Father sends you the gift he promised, as I told you before. John baptized with water, but in just a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.” So when the apostles were with Jesus, they kept asking him, “Lord, has the time come for you to free Israel and restore our kingdom?” He replied, “The Father alone has the authority to set those dates and times, and they are not for you to know. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” After saying this, he was taken up into a cloud while they were watching, and they could no longer see him.” (Acts of the Apostles 1:2-9 NLT) 🌱 let’s stay connected: https://linktr.ee/jrheylynn (https://linktr.ee/jrheylynn)

hearing his voice.
on this episode we’re discussing: don’t take it for granted when being able to hear God’s voice, limit distractions, resenting God because hearing from the wrong source, obedience to God once you recognize his voice, and redirection. “Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, left the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, where for forty days he was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and at the end of them he was hungry.” (Luke 4:1-2 NIV) “I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. 13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.
