Aqua transforming the castle to protect it from trespassers explains why even though Axel was sent to Castle Oblivion multiple times, he could never fully flesh out all of the castle's secrets. You mean the chamber, right? We turned that place inside out. If it's there, we're not gonna find it just by looking. Aqua was able to reach the Land of Departure with Ventus, who opened a portal to it with his Keyblade. And after she transforms it into Castle Oblivion, she can still leave with her Keyblade vehicle, because technically, the castle is still in the Realm of Light, just on its rim. […]
