S2:E12 | You Were Never Meant to Stay the Same
There are versions of you that no longer exist.
The woman who stayed quiet when she wanted to speak.
The woman who tolerated things she would never accept today.
The woman who had dreams she's since outgrown.
The woman who survived things she never imagined she'd face.
The woman who didn't know what you know now.
And perhaps... the woman who started listening to this podcast twelve episodes ago.
But what if we stopped judging the women we used to be for not knowing what only experience could teach them?
In this deeply reflective season finale of She's Not Asking Anymore, I explore the beauty, discomfort and courage of becoming someone new.
We talk about why change can feel frightening, why personal growth sometimes feels like betrayal, and why the people around us don't always recognise the women we're becoming.
We explore the identities we've outgrown, the dreams we've released, the relationships that change as we evolve, and the pressure to remain consistent with versions of ourselves that no longer reflect who we are.
Because here's something we often forget:
You are allowed to change your mind.
You're allowed to discover new passions.
You're allowed to want different things.
You're allowed to outgrow old expectations.
And you're allowed to become a woman your younger self could never have imagined.
But perhaps the most important part of becoming isn't learning to leave your past behind.
It's learning to look back at every version of yourself with compassion.
The woman who made mistakes.
The woman who was frightened.
The woman who kept going.
The woman who got you here.
She deserves your gratitude, not your judgement.
In our final weekly practice of the season, The Versions of Me, we'll reflect on three powerful questions:
Who was the woman I used to be?
Who am I today, beyond my roles and responsibilities?
Who am I becoming, and what does she need from me?
And in our final guided reflection, we'll take a journey through the different versions of ourselves, honouring the women we've been while opening the door to the women we're yet to become.
Because there is no final, perfect version of you waiting at the end of this journey.
You are not a finished product. You are a woman who is still becoming.

Season 2: The Becoming | Episode 12
You Were Never Meant to Stay the Same
As we close this season, I want to leave you with one thought:
You don't need to know exactly who you're becoming.
You simply need to promise yourself that you won't abandon her along the way.
When she gets curious, listen.
When she wants something, explore it.
When she's frightened, be gentle.
When she outgrows something, let her.
And when somebody tells you that you've changed...
Perhaps your answer can simply be:
“I know.”
Thank you for being part of this season, for sharing these conversations, and for allowing yourself the space to grow.
This isn't the end of your becoming.
And it certainly isn't the end of ours.
You were never meant to stay the same. 💖✨️
Until next season, beautiful.
