In this episode of She Still Building, Rachel Kirk opens up about a side of success that rarely gets talked about—the isolation that can come with being “the strong one.” Whether in business, leadership, or motherhood, she explores what it really feels like to carry the weight when everyone else is looking to you.
She shares a vulnerable moment at the dinner table, where her excitement about a bold five-year vision—to grow her business to $3 million in revenue—was met with an unexpected sense of loneliness. It’s a powerful reflection on the unseen responsibility of being the decision-maker: the risks, the financial pressure, and the tough calls that ultimately rest on your shoulders alone.
Rachel dives into the difference between being surrounded and being truly understood, the subtle pressure to perform strength, and why meaningful support doesn’t just happen—it has to be built with intention. She talks about the importance of choosing the right people, creating space for honesty, inviting God into the process, and embracing vulnerability.
This episode is both a reality check and an invitation: to stop carrying it all alone, and to consider who you can open up to a little more this week.

Self-Worth vs. Doubt: Put Yourself in the Room Anyway
Rachel Kirk explores self-worth—distinct from ego—as believing you belong, are capable, and are meant to do what you’re doing, noting that business growth often mirrors personal self-worth. She discusses how doubt is normal and often fueled by comparison, lack of experience, past failures, or being the newest, youngest, or a woman in a male-dominated industry, and reframes doubt as a sign of growth. She offers practical steps: act before you feel ready, stop seeking external validation, track wins, shift internal language from “who am I?” to “why not me?”, and put yourself in rooms where you can learn.

John opens up about the shift inside his business — from constant chasing to real traction — and Leon talks about how simplifying systems can unlock time, clarity, and better results than we expected.
