In this lesson, Brother Cole Branch will discuss imagery of a Christian race to examine how anxiety, cares, riches, pleasures, and other distractions can become “thorns”.
Drawing from Hebrews 11–12 and Luke 8, Christians are encouraged to look to the faithful who endured hardship before them, lay aside every weight, and keep their eyes on Jesus as they run with endurance. The faithful must have an eternal perspective, using the rich man and Lazarus to challenge listeners to evaluate their priorities, realign anything hindering their race, and faithfully pursue the finish line.
We invite our listeners to join us in this biblical lesson and its application to our daily Christian lives.
