Conservativism & Childhood Neglect | Why health literacy should be a human right.
In this episode, we dive into one of the most controversial debates in public health: Should parents' political and religious beliefs outweigh a child's right to evidence-based health education? We explore the ethics of sex education, capability deprivation, and why health literacy is fundamental to autonomy and human rights. Along the way, we examine public health policy, parental rights, homeschooling, media narratives, and the long-term consequences of withholding health information from young people. Whether you're interested in philosophy, politics, public health, or social justice, this conversation challenges how we think about freedom, education, and the future of prevention.

Free Thinking Doesn't Exist: Hume, Kant, Camus, & You
What does free thinking actually look like? In this episode, Sierra unpacks the strange paradox at the heart of our “free will” illusion: every idea, insecurity and desire we’ve ever had was first shaped by external forces. Drawing on insights from Hume, Camus and Kant, she explains why true objectivity is impossible—and why the only freedom we ever possess is the power to choose what we let into our minds. You’ll learn:
How societal conditioning programs our thoughts and bodies
Why media detox and deliberate curation are the first steps toward self‑authorship
Practical strategies for isolating from toxic feedback loops and rebuilding an independent mindset
What “free thinking” looks like in practice—like treating your own mind as a project you actively code and refine
Whether you’ve ever felt trapped by conventions, haunted by perfectionism or stifled by your own beliefs, Sierra shows you how to reclaim mental space, think critically and finally own your inner narrative—on your own terms.

22: people suck and it's because of social media (About Social Media Volume 1)
In this episode after a brief depressing moment I decide to call my friend Pan and discuss mental health in correlation with social media as it impacts our generation's ability to socialize with mindful intention. We primarily touch on subjects such as social media trends that impose on the experiences of those non-consenting to being recorded, media and privacy, dating social norms, and philosophical foundations that have been eroded and shaped with the form of our development which is anchored by the short-term dopamine. Is the unwillingness to invest in oneself and others with space and patience a result of our cognitive development on a majority scale within the western context being tainted and degraded by media addiction, making us less social and more disinterested in what makes our humanity social in the first place?
