We Finished Isaiah. We'll Never See God the Same Way. | Isaiah 63–66
After 66 chapters, we've finally reached the end of Isaiah. And what a journey it's been.
But Isaiah doesn't end with a comfortable message. It ends with a question every one of us needs to consider: Are we actually walking with God, or are we just going through the motions?
In Isaiah 63–66, God reminds His people that heaven is His throne and earth is His footstool. He doesn't need our buildings, our religious routines, or our attempts to impress Him. He's looking for something much deeper—a humble heart that trembles at His Word.
In this episode of Simple Discipleship, we talk about what we've learned from Isaiah, the courage it takes to follow God, why religious activity can never replace a relationship with Him, and the peace that comes from truly resting in Christ.
We also get personal about something we all struggle with: finding quiet moments with God in a world that never seems to slow down.
A few questions worth asking yourself:
Do I take God's Word seriously enough to read it every day?
Am I living in obedience to what I'm reading?
Am I sharing God's Word with the people around me?
Have I confused religious activity with actually knowing God?
Join Andy Price, Charles Burnett, Sam Mullins, and Mike Forbes as we finish Isaiah together.

The World Is Dark. That's Not an Excuse. | Isaiah 60–62
The world is dark. We see it every day. But what if the darkness around us isn't an excuse to withdraw? What if it's exactly where God has called us to shine?
In Isaiah 60–62, God gives His people an extraordinary promise of restoration, hope, and a coming glory. But as we work through these chapters, we're reminded of something important: the light isn't ours. It belongs to Christ. We're simply called to reflect it.
This week on Simple Discipleship, we're joined by two special guests, Reese and Alin, who share an incredible story of God's work in Romania. What began with missionaries serving struggling communities has grown into generations of disciples making disciples.
We also wrestle with some difficult questions. Who exactly are God's promises in Isaiah written for? How do these chapters connect to Jesus, the New Jerusalem, and Revelation? And what do these promises mean for the way we live today?
We don't pretend to have every answer. But the more time we spend in God's Word, the more we discover just how much there is to learn.
One thought stayed with us:
"This world's darkness is a setting, not an excuse."
God is still working. His Word is still powerful. And His light is still reaching people in some of the darkest places on earth.

You Can Look Religious and Still Miss God | Isaiah 56–59
You can go to church. Read your Bible. Fast. Pray. Do all the “right” things—and still miss the heart of what God wants.
In Isaiah 56–59, God confronts people who looked religious on the outside, but their religious activity wasn’t changing how they lived or how they treated others. The question isn’t simply What are you doing for God? It’s what is happening in your heart? Pasted text
In this episode of Simple Discipleship, we have an honest conversation about fasting, church attendance, the Sabbath, works, relationships, spiritual leadership, and the danger of allowing religious activity to take the place of actually knowing God.
One question keeps rising to the surface:
Do you look at people the way Jesus looks at people? Pasted text
We also talk about why getting into God's Word for yourself matters. Teachers and pastors have an important place, but no one else can replace your own relationship with Jesus, the work of the Holy Spirit, and time spent personally engaging Scripture. Pasted text
God isn't looking for a performance.
He wants your heart. ❤️
