Sing Psalms to the Lord

About Sing Psalms to the Lord

We are the Choir of Our Lady of the Rosary in the parish of St. John, on the island of Barbados. Ours is a vibrant and active music ministry and we have created this podcast to focus on the psalms in the Catholic liturgy. Most of the musical settings are original compositions and we feel that they reflect the rhythm and flavour of our Caribbean culture. Our hope is that through this podcast we can share our love of the psalms with a wider global community.

Responsorial Psalm 144(145):8-9,15-18 for the 18th Sunday in Ordinary Time, Year A - You Open Wide Your Hand, O Lord, And Grant Our Desires

Ps 69: 2, 6 O God, come to my assistance; O Lord, make haste to help me! You are my rescuer, my help; O Lord, do not delay. Responsorial Psalm 144(145):8-9,15-18 You open wide Your hand, O Lord, and grant our desires. The Lord is kind and full of compassion, slow to anger, abounding in love. How good is the Lord to all, compassionate to all his creatures. You open wide Your hand, O Lord, and grant our desires. The eyes of all creatures look to you and you give them their food in due time. You open wide your hand, grant the desires of all who live. You open wide Your hand, O Lord, and grant our desires. The Lord is just in all his ways and loving in all his deeds. He is close to all who call him, who call on him from their hearts. You open wide Your hand, O Lord, and grant our desires.
