Single with Purpose is a Bible-based podcast created to help single Christian men grow in faith, character, discipline, leadership, and responsibility. Each episode explores what it means to live as a godly man in today’s culture—not by following stereotypes, chasing status, or waiting for marriage to provide purpose, but by becoming faithful to Christ in every area of life. Through practical Bible teaching and examples from men such as Joseph, David, Daniel, Peter, and Paul, the show addresses integrity, passivity, spiritual discipline, temptation, friendship, accountability, servant leadership, and personal responsibility. 14. David: Strength, Failure, and Repentance
What does real strength look like in the life of a man who follows God? David’s story gives us a powerful and sometimes uncomfortable answer. In one season, he courageously stood before Goliath when an entire army was afraid. In another, he surrendered to temptation, abused his authority, tried to conceal his sin, and experienced devastating consequences. His life reminds us that past victories do not guarantee future faithfulness—we need fresh dependence on God in every season. In this episode, we examine three important lessons from David’s life: Genuine strength comes from dependence on God. David defeated Goliath because his confidence was not ultimately in his own ability, but in the Lord. Neglected responsibility can open the door to compromise. David’s fall with Bathsheba developed through a progression of choices made during a season of comfort, isolation, and disengagement. Genuine repentance accepts responsibility and seeks restoration. When Nathan confronted him, David stopped hiding, confessed his sin, and cried out to God for a clean heart. David’s greatest display of strength was not only defeating a giant. Strength was also demonstrated when he stopped defending himself, received correction, confessed his sin, and humbled himself before God. This episode challenges every Christian man to ask some difficult questions: Is there anything in my life I am hiding? Is there a behavior I keep excusing? Who has permission to confront me? What do I need to bring into the light today? Primary Scriptures: 1 Samuel 17; 2 Samuel 11–12; Psalm 51Scripture Translation: Berean Standard Bible (BSB) If this episode encourages or challenges you, follow the podcast, share it with another man, and continue pursuing the kind of strength that comes through dependence on God, personal responsibility, repentance, and obedience.

13. Winning The Battle Of The Mind
In this episode of Single With Purpose, we look at what Scripture teaches about confronting destructive thoughts involving lust, anger, shame, comparison, fear, and discouragement. Not every thought that enters your mind deserves your agreement, and through the power of God, you can learn to recognize lies, replace them with truth, and bring your thinking under the authority of Jesus Christ. Using Romans 12:1–2, Philippians 4:8, and 2 Corinthians 10:3–5 from the NET, we explore three important disciplines for winning the battle of the mind: • Recognize that your mind is a battlefield — Learn to identify destructive thoughts and take them captive in obedience to Christ. • Renew your mind by replacing lies with truth — Transformation happens when we stop allowing the world, our past, or our emotions to determine what we believe and begin allowing God's Word to reshape our thinking. • Intentionally direct what fills your mind — What we repeatedly watch, read, listen to, and consume influences our thoughts, desires, emotions, and ultimately our actions. We also discuss practical ways to guard your mind, including limiting sources of temptation, beginning your day with Scripture, memorizing verses that address recurring struggles, refusing to rehearse imaginary arguments, and developing honest accountability with other Christian men. This week's challenge: Write down one recurring lie that has been influencing your life. Identify when you are most likely to believe it, find the biblical truth that answers it, choose one action you will take this week, and share the struggle with someone you trust. Victory does not mean you will never face another destructive thought. Victory means those thoughts no longer have the final word. Jesus does. If this episode encourages you, follow Single With Purpose, share it with another man, and join us as we continue learning what it means to pursue biblical masculinity, spiritual maturity, integrity, and a life fully surrendered to Christ. #SingleWithPurpose #ChristianMen #BiblicalManhood #BattleOfTheMind #RenewYourMind #ChristianPodcast #MensMinistry #Faith #BibleStudy #SpiritualGrowth

12. Discipline in Everyday Life
Biblical discipline is about more than having a productive schedule or accomplishing more each day. It is about learning to faithfully steward the life, time, responsibilities, and resources God has entrusted to us. In Episode 12 of Single With Purpose, we look at Proverbs 6:6–11, 1 Corinthians 9:24–27, and Colossians 3:23 to explore what Scripture teaches about discipline in everyday life. From the wisdom of the ant to Paul’s picture of an athlete training with purpose, the Bible reminds us that spiritual maturity should influence the practical areas of our lives. We’ll talk about applying biblical discipline to sleep, work, finances, health, time management, and personal responsibilities. Small areas of disorder may seem insignificant, but when they are continually neglected, they can eventually weaken our ability to handle larger responsibilities well. Discipline is not about pursuing perfection, impressing others, or creating the appearance that we have everything together. It is about faithful stewardship. Healthy discipline can actually create greater freedom by reducing unnecessary chaos, helping us become more dependable, and allowing us to give our attention to what matters most. Paul writes that he disciplines his body and brings it under control because he is living with a purpose. In the same way, followers of Christ should approach everyday responsibilities intentionally, remembering the words of Colossians 3:23: “Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men.” This episode’s challenge: Identify one area of your life you have been neglecting and commit to a simple, realistic improvement plan for the next 30 days. Don’t try to change everything at once. Choose one area, remain consistent, and practice faithful stewardship one day at a time. Discipline in the ordinary areas of life prepares us to faithfully handle greater responsibilities when God places them before us.

11. Developing Spiritual Discipline
In this episode, we explore what it means to develop spiritual discipline and why consistent habits are essential for a man who wants to grow in godliness. Paul tells Timothy to “train yourself for godliness” (1 Timothy 4:7–8), reminding us that spiritual maturity does not happen by accident. Just as physical strength requires training, a strong walk with God requires intentional habits of prayer, Scripture, worship, and reflection. We’ll look at Psalm 1:1–3 and the picture of a man whose life is firmly rooted because he continually delights in God’s Word. We’ll also look at the example of Jesus in Mark 1:35, who intentionally withdrew to a solitary place to pray—even in the middle of a demanding ministry. In this episode, we discuss: Why spiritual growth requires intentional training The difference between biblical discipline and legalism Why consistency matters more than emotional intensity How prayer and Scripture prepare us to face temptation Why disciplined men are better prepared to carry responsibility How to build spiritual habits that are realistic and sustainable Spiritual discipline is not about trying to earn God’s favor. It is about intentionally creating space in our lives to know God, hear His Word, strengthen our faith, and become the men He has called us to be. This week’s challenge: Create a realistic seven-day Bible reading and prayer schedule—and commit to following it whether you feel motivated or not. Spiritual maturity is built one faithful day at a time. Primary Scriptures: 1 Timothy 4:7–8, Psalm 1:1–3, Mark 1:35 (BSB)

10. Courageous Initiative
In this episode of Single With Purpose, we look at what it means to live with courageous initiative—moving forward in faithful obedience even when fear, uncertainty, or feelings of inadequacy are present. Through the examples of Joshua and Nehemiah, we’ll see that biblical courage is not the absence of fear; it is choosing to obey God in the middle of it. We’ll discuss how godly initiative begins by recognizing what needs to be done and then responding with prayer, wise planning, perseverance, and trust in God’s presence. You do not have to feel completely confident before taking the next step. As 2 Timothy 1:7 reminds us, God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. This episode’s challenge: Choose one God-honoring goal you have been delaying and write down the first three steps you need to take to begin. Primary Scriptures: Joshua 1:6–9; Nehemiah 2:11–18; 2 Timothy 1:7.

9. Overcoming Passivity
In this episode of Single With Purpose, we confront one of the quietest dangers in a man’s spiritual life: passivity. From Adam standing by while Eve took the forbidden fruit in Genesis 3, to the neglected field of the sluggard in Proverbs 24, Scripture shows us that doing nothing is still a decision. Sometimes the greatest failure is not choosing the wrong action—it is refusing to act when God has already made the right action clear. We’ll examine the difference between patience and passivity, why fear of failure can cause men to avoid responsibility, and how silence can become disobedience when God is calling us to speak, lead, serve, repent, reconcile, or take action. James 4:17 reminds us that knowing what is right and refusing to do it is itself sin. Biblical maturity therefore requires more than avoiding obvious wrongdoing. It means becoming a man who is willing to take responsibility, initiate difficult conversations, make necessary decisions, and faithfully act on what God has placed in front of him. Taking initiative does not mean becoming controlling, demanding, or domineering. Mature Christian men learn to lead through humility, courage, service, wisdom, and obedience to God. In this episode: Why passivity is not the same as patience How silence can become disobedience Why fear of failure keeps men from taking responsibility What Proverbs teaches about the slow consequences of neglect How to take initiative without becoming controlling Why spiritual maturity requires action, not merely good intentions Primary Scriptures: Genesis 3:6; Proverbs 24:30–34; James 4:17 You do not have to control every outcome. You are responsible for faithfully responding to what God has placed before you.

4. Integrity Part 1
Integrity is not proven when everyone is watching—it is revealed in the private decisions no one else sees. In this episode, we examine what it means to be the same man in private that we claim to be in public. Drawing from Proverbs 10:9 and Psalm 101:2–3, we explore the difference between reputation and character, the freedom that comes from honest living, and why integrity must begin within our own homes. We also confront the influence of private entertainment, hidden habits, secret conversations, financial decisions, and unkept promises. In a world where temptation can be carried in our pockets and our public image can be carefully managed, every Christian man must ask: Am I living to protect my reputation, or am I developing a character that pleases God? Integrity does not require perfection. It requires honesty, repentance, accountability, wise boundaries, and a consistent commitment to follow Christ—even when no one else will ever know. Primary Scriptures: Proverbs 10:9 and Psalm 101:2–3 MEV

3. Singleness Is Not A Waiting Room
Singleness is not an incomplete stage of life or merely a season to endure until marriage comes along. It can be a meaningful season of purpose, growth, service, and undistracted devotion to God. In this episode, we explore what Scripture teaches about the unique opportunities available to single men. Marriage is a wonderful gift, but it is not the source of identity, contentment, or purpose. God calls us to seek His kingdom first and remain faithful with the responsibilities, relationships, and opportunities He has given us today. We also discuss how biblical contentment does not require abandoning the desire for marriage. Instead, it means trusting Christ, refusing to place life on hold, and learning to serve God faithfully in every circumstance. This week’s challenge: Choose one practical way to use your current freedom, time, or resources to serve God or someone else. Primary Scriptures: 1 Corinthians 7:32–35; Matthew 6:33; Philippians 4:11–13
