I have spent the last eight years creatively advocating for victims and families of the missing and murdered community. I started with a blog and then delved into working with families directly through podcasting.
Over the last 2 years, I have branched into videos as well, which you can find on my Sipping on Some Crime YouTube channel.
My podcast went down for a few years, but I am bringing back all those episodes and adding new ones from my current 50 State Cold Case Spotlight series, which is currently in season 2.
Please bear with me while I load in all the previous episodes and the new ones as we go. If there are any updates with any episodes from my original library, I will make sure to include that in the description.
I am the writer, the researcher, editor, and the producer of all sipping on some crime projects, a one-woman band, so it does take me some time to get everything loaded. I just recently started trying to write my own music for my episodes, which is why you’ll hear the intro change for a few episodes until episode 17.
I cover all types of cases; I have no prerequisites for cases. I cover mostly unsolved cases, but I have covered solved cases and historical cases as well. I believe every victim, survivor, and loved one's story deserves to be told, and every one deserves to be brought home.
As I say at the end of every single episode, every time you see a missing and murdered person's post on social media, it’s important that you share because every time we share a face, we get closer to solving a case, and I genuinely believe that.
Seeking Diane takes a deep dive into the life of Diane T. Francis, leading up to her disappearance in 2005. Diane's daughter Sherri and I cover Diane's early years and the relationships that led her to choose troubled relationships and addiction again and again.
Diane fought to be a present mother and wanted a better life for her and them but disappeared before getting that chance.
Sherri has spent her whole adult life searching for her mother and putting the pieces of her life together before she vanished. Someone in the Jacksonville area has to know where she is and why she vanished 2 decades ago.
Sherri will not stop seeking answers and with a new last known photo of Diane that she just found she's on a mission to get her face out there in hopes someone recognizes her.

What happened to Brenda Lambert?
BRENDA GAIL LAMBERT from The Archives.
Still working on bringing back all the original episodes from the first two seasons of Sipping on Crime between posting new episodes of the 50 State Gold case series
This episode was originally loaded in February 2024, so some information may have changed since then. I added links to all the social media pages run by Christy for the latest updates on Brenda’s case.
Brenda, a 22-year-old mother of two from West Virginia, vanished on her son's first birthday, leaving behind all her belongings and her car parked in the driveway. Her sister Christy was 14 when Brenda disappeared and has spent over 30 years trying to bring her home.

Seeking Diane
Diane Francis was well known in the Jacksonville area. Not just by the community she hung out with but also by local law enforcement.
In fact, the last official sighting we have of Diane is November 27, 2005 when she was arrested at a local hotel for trespassing. We know that she was held overnight and released the following morning on the 28th.
From there, we don’t know where she went or what happened. There may have been a phone call to the family in 2006 but they could not confirm that it was Diane.
12 years after she disappears one of her ex-boyfriends picks up the phone to call the police and report her missing.
To learn more about Diane’s case please follow the Facebook page her daughter Sheri runs for her. There you’ll find the latest updates and other creators/podcasts/media that have featured Diane’s case.
