The audacious Nicky Savs spends a baseball season attempting to turn Pat Sirois (Host of Lie, Cheat, and Steal Podcast, "Comedian Falls in Hole" USAToday fame) into a devoted baseball fan through evergreen baseball stories and lessons, and assigning Pat an MLB team to stan for the 2026 season.
The Milwaukee Brewers are going to the World Series for the first time since 1982, and it's safe to say, they couldn't have done it without us. The moment Pat started rooting for the Brew Crew they turned on the jets and began soaring through all the competition the rest of the season. We wanted to give this moment of Brewers fandom some perspective for Pat, as most Milwaukee faithful have been housing beers to escape nearly two generations of pain.
We had long time Brewers fans, Martin Henn and Brent Ballinger, residents of Austin, TX, drop by in the studio to give a deep dive on what this National League pennant means to them, and contrast the brash Pat, and just what this pennant means to the brand new baseball fan.

Game 2 NLCS (Bottom 5 through Top 8)
We are live for Game 2 of the NLCS! Live from the Comedy Frequency studios. At the recording of this game it was 4-3 in favor of the Dodgers going into the bottom 5th, with Brice TUURAAAANNGG leading off. Tune in to the dusky section of the game 2 duel as the Brewers try pull off their second come back in the series.
WARNING! This game is being called live during the Slow Pitch podcast and is not an official broadcasting partner of Major League Baseball. If you are listening to this podcast because you have not seen the game and are seeking out more independent broadcasts for postseason baseball, then this podcast will relay real-time events played out on the diamond in Milwaukee with some side effects.
Side effects may include: 1) Interrupting game play for deeper discussions about baseball super fans and potential Brewers bobblehead nights for 2027. 2) In-game "dug out" reporting from the host's brother who is not actually at the game, but listening to the game at the same time as taking his daughter to dance lesson. 3) Amateur play-by-play calling from a 34-year-old try hard who can't seem to come up with another word for running fast, on the spot, other than repeating that a player is "bolting towards the bag" two time too many.
