Starring Tim Robbins as Andy Dufresne and Morgan Freeman as Ellis “Red” Redding, The Shawshank Redemption tells the story of a banker sentenced to life in prison for the murders of his wife and her lover. More than 30 years after its release, The Shawshank Redemption has become one of the most celebrated and rewatched films in movie history. But does it truly deserve its reputation as one of the greatest movies of all time?
