[…] Are we in a temporary inflation kind of spike, or is it more permanent? There is a lot of talk about higher for longer, and that's been in the conversation the last couple of years. Are we expecting inflation to stay much higher, or at least higher than it was pre-COVID? I think temporary is a forbidden word these days, because we got the experience of 2022, which was supposed to be a temporary situation, but indeed... It lasted longer than expected, and it took a couple of years for inflation to move back to target. And so I think even more, actually, in two years. So I think at this time, people will be, especially central banks, will be very cautious in defining the shock temporary. […]
