Soft Girl Letters is a memoir turned conversation — a weekly space for reading pieces of the book out loud and talking through what they mean: the weight of strength you never chose, the truth in standing alone, and the slow work of becoming instead of perfecting. Hosted by the author, ahead of the memoir’s release on October 11.
I started this book as letters I needed to write to myself; about raising myself too young, about staying quiet to stay safe, about loving people who couldn't meet me halfway, about breaking patterns I never saw broken before.
I wrote the last chapter while I was still in the middle of heartbreak, because I wanted this book to be honest, not neat. Healing isn't a finish line. I'm still on mine.
If you've been following along since the first letter; thank you for being here for all of it. If this is your first time seeing this page, welcome.
This book is for the girls who raised themselves too soon, the women who gave more than they got, and anyone who's ever needed to hear: you are not behind, and you are allowed to choose yourself.

Episode 9: Chapter 8 Still Human
My heart doesn't check my resume before it breaks.
In this episode, I'm reading from Chapter Eight of Soft Girl Letters: Still Human.
I am the woman who wrote every letter before this one. I am also the woman crying this week. Healing doesn't have an end date — and that's okay.

Your past may explain you, but it does not define you.
In this episode, I'm reading from Chapter Seven of Soft Girl Letters: Your Past Is Not a Life Sentence.
For a long time I believed my past followed me like a shadow, quietly deciding what I was allowed to have. This one's about letting that belief go.

Episode 7: Chapter 6 Learning to be safe with Myself
I didn't realize how much of my life I spent bracing for impact.
In this short episode, I'm reading from Chapter Six of Soft Girl Letters: Learning to Be Safe with Myself.
A quiet one about choosing rest instead of reaction, honesty instead of self-betrayal, and speaking gently to myself instead of tearing myself apart.

Episode 4: Chapter 3: A Heart That Wanted a Home
Home isn't always a place , sometimes it's something you have to build inside yourself. In this episode, I read from Chapter Three and talk about a memory that taught me even the safest-feeling places aren't always permanent.
This one's about longing, being let go, and learning that home can live in your own heart even when the walls around you keep shifting. 🌿

Episode 3: Chapter 2: When Silence felt like Safety
Silence became my first language. It didn't ask me to explain myself. It didn't ask me to beg.
In this episode, I'm reading from Chapter Two.
When Silence Felt Like Safety.
We’re talking about choosing quiet over confrontation, over vulnerability, over honesty — not because there was nothing to say, but because speaking always felt dangerous. And the moment I realized silence, once my shield, had become somewhere I no longer needed to live.

Episode 2: Chapter One: The Girl Who Raised Herself
I didn't wake up one day and decide to be strong. Strength was assigned to me early, without my consent.
In this episode, I'm unpacking that line and taking you into Chapter One of Soft Girl Letters: The Girl Who Raised Herself. We talk about learning independence far too early, feeling unwanted moving through the system, and a moment at sixteen — alone in my first apartment — that made it undeniable I'd been raising myself long before that night.
This chapter isn't about blaming the past. It's about honoring the girl who did the best she could with what she had.

Welcome to Soft Girl Letters — the podcast.
