I’m an author, mom, wife, daughter, sister—and most of all, a human tired of hiding behind “I’m fine.” I’m trying to figure out this life one question at a time. Stick with me. Maybe we’ll both find something we’ve been missing.

Love Has a Point of View: The Things Familiar Eyes Can't See
Have you ever been seen, by someone who had no reason to see you?
Not a friend. Not a lover.
A stranger.
Someone who watched you from a distance, and understood something about you that the people closest to you had missed entirely.
Sometimes the people who know us least can see something the people closest to us cannot.
The people closest to us rarely see us neutrally.
They want us to be okay.
They remember who we used to be.
They carry hopes about who we’re becoming.
Love has a point of view.
Sometimes being loved can make it harder to be seen clearly.
Strangers don’t always see us better. They simply see us without a history attached.
So, who sees you without needing you to be anything?
I’m Roya Nava. Everyone deserves to be truly seen.

The Blind Spot: When We Mistake the Foundation for a Room
Often, we make ourselves the easiest thing to remove from the equation without asking what our absence changes.
Have you ever been so focused on someone else, so certain you understood what they needed, that you completely lost sight of what you meant to them?
There’s a paradox at the centre of knowing someone deeply.
The better you know someone, the more clearly you can see their vulnerabilities.
Their fears. Their limits. The ways they will break if pressed too hard.
But here’s the thing nobody tells you.
The closer you are, the harder it is to see yourself in the picture.
You become invisible to your own map of them.
And that invisibility is where the blind spot lives.
Do you know how much space you take up in the lives of the people who love you?
I’m Roya Nava. Everyone deserves to be truly seen.

The Art of the Noble Lie: When Harm Arrives Dressed as Love
Have you ever done something that hurt someone and called it protecting them?
Not out of cruelty or selfishness.
Out of love so complete that it stopped asking for permission.
There’s a specific kind of wound that only people who love deeply can inflict.
It doesn’t announce itself as harm.
It announces itself as sacrifice.
It says:
I know what you need better than you do.
I’m doing this for you.
Because you won’t.
And sometimes it’s all of those things.
Have you ever loved someone so well that your knowledge of them became the weapon you used against them?
Without ever meaning to. Without ever knowing.Come join the full conversation.
