Episode 21 - Life, Music & Second Chances with The Chris Atwood

What happens when music goes from being your job… to becoming a tool for connection, healing, and finding your way back to life? In this episode, I sit down with Chris Atwood, DJ, music lover, stroke survivor, and someone who has been given a very different perspective on what it means to truly live. Chris and I dive into the unexpected ways his stroke changed his relationship with music and with people. We talk about survivor’s guilt, purpose, gratitude, and the complicated emotions that can come with being given a second chance. Chris opens up about questioning why he survived when others didn’t—and what it means to keep moving forward when you don't always feel worthy of the inspiration others see in you. From his birth song, Tragedy by the Bee Gees, and childhood favorite The Humpty Dance, to the euphoric moment he heard the Purple Disco Machine remix of At Night after his stroke, each song tells a little more of Chris's story. We also talk about his love for Michael Jackson, why MJ is the title track of his life's album, his upcoming wedding and the challenge of creating something elevated and completely non-traditional, and how DJing continues to introduce him to music he might never have discovered otherwise. This is a conversation about music, survival, connection, and the beautiful—and sometimes messy—process of figuring out what to do with the life you've been given. So turn up the volume, get comfortable, and press play. ☀️🎧🔊 Connect with Chris Atwood: IG: (http://www.instagram.com/DJBrianBOfficial)www.instagram.com/thechrisatwood (https://www.instagram.com/thechrisatwood) FB: www.facebook.com/thechrisatwood (https://www.facebook.com/thechrisatwood) Website: www.thechrisatwood.com (https://www.christopherevansatwood.com/) Youtube: www.youtube.com/thechrisatwood (https://www.youtube.com/thechrisatwood) LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/thechrisatwood/ (https://www.linkedin.com/in/thechrisatwood/) Connect with Dayna Sol: IG: https://www.instagram.com/_daynasol_ (https://www.instagram.com/_daynasol_) Watch the episode on YOUTUBE: https://www.youtube.com/@_daynasol_ (https://www.youtube.com/@_daynasol_) Work with Dayna Sol: https://www.daynasol.com/connect (https://www.daynasol.com/connect) Listen to Dayna Sol’s playlists and mixes: https://www.daynasol.com/playlists (https://www.daynasol.com/playlists)

Episode 20 - “I Don’t Get Tired” - Hustle, Hits & the Evolution of DJ Digital Dave

In this episode, I sit down with DJ Digital Dave to take a musical journey through the songs and moments that shaped his life and career behind the decks. From his birth song, “My Sharona,” and childhood memories of “Rhythm of the Night,” to creating his first mashup using Tiësto’s “Silence,” Dave shares how music became the soundtrack to some of his biggest career milestones. We talk about trusting your musical instincts, earning creative freedom as a sports DJ, and the story behind the songs that became part of his signature—including “Blow the Whistle,” and “Dreams and Nightmares,” the anthem connected to his incredible 10-year residency. Dave also shares how he continues to evolve with his audiences, why yesterday’s “throwbacks” eventually become today’s nostalgia, and what it takes mentally to maintain a demanding schedule—including completing an incredible 36 gigs in just 31 days! This conversation is about much more than DJing. It’s about creativity, evolution, trusting yourself, staying relevant, and continuing to find the energy and passion to do what you love. So turn it up and join us as we explore the soundtrack behind the life and career of DJ Digital Dave.
