Solid Rock Worship Center | Sermons & Messages
Welcome to the official podcast of Solid Rock Worship Center in Kannapolis, NC.
Our mission is simple: we're a church that walks in love.
Every message you hear comes from that heartbeat - teaching God's Word with clarity, pointing people to Jesus, and helping everyday believers grow in grace.
Whether you're part of our church family or listening from across the map, we're grateful you're here.
Let God's Word meet you where you are today.
What happens when the “one another” God places in front of us is someone who is not like us?
In the final message of our four-part One Another series, Pastor Mike walks through Romans 15:5–7 and Paul’s command to receive one another just as Christ received us.
The church has never been made up of people who agree about everything. From the earliest believers in Rome, Christians have come from different backgrounds, traditions, personalities, and perspectives. But biblical unity does not mean becoming identical. It means deciding that what we have in Christ is greater than the things we see differently.
Jesus is not trying to make everybody more like us. He is making all of us more like Him.
And when we remember how Christ received us, it changes the way we receive others. None of us earned our place in the family of God. We were welcomed by grace while we were still growing, still learning, and still in need of His patience.
So there has to be room at the table.
Room for different generations. Room for different personalities. Room for different backgrounds. Room for people who are still growing. Room for people who may not look, think, or act exactly like us.
That does not mean compromising truth. It means holding tightly to truth without holding people at arm’s length.
Throughout this series, we have been called to love one another, encourage one another, serve one another, and receive one another. And every command has been leading us to the same place: a church where Jesus is so central that our differences stop being the biggest thing in the room.
The strongest thing holding the church together should never be how much we have in common.
It should be how much we have in Christ.
There’s room at the table.

Serve One Another | One Another — Part 3
Love is more than something we say. Encouragement is more than something we speak. Sooner or later, both of them have to become action.
In Part 3 of our four-part One Another series, Pastor Mike walks through Galatians 5:13–15 and Paul’s command to serve one another through love.
Because of Jesus, we have been set free—but Christian freedom was never meant to make life revolve around us. Christ frees us from selfishness so that we can finally love and serve people the way God intended.
Biblical service is not about recognition, applause, or doing something only when it is convenient. It is humble, practical, and motivated by love. Sometimes it looks like helping someone in need. Sometimes it looks like making a meal, writing a card, giving a ride, praying with someone, serving quietly, or simply noticing the person everyone else overlooked.
Paul also gives the church a warning: when we stop serving one another, it becomes easy to start biting and devouring one another. Selfishness tears the body apart, but service has a way of turning our eyes away from ourselves and back toward Jesus.
And Jesus is our example.
He washed feet. He welcomed the overlooked. He touched the untouchable. He fed the hungry. And ultimately, He carried a cross that was not His to carry.
Jesus said that He did not come to be served, but to serve.
So the question is simple:
Where is God asking you to serve?
You do not have to do everything—but every one of us can do something.

Encourage One Another | One Another — Part 2
Last week, we began with Jesus’ command to love one another. This week, we see one of the clearest ways that love is put into action: encouragement.
In Hebrews 10, believers are reminded that because of what Jesus has already done, we can draw near to God with confidence—and we can help one another keep going when life gets hard.
In Part 2 of our four-part One Another series, Pastor Mike explores what biblical encouragement really looks like. It is more than saying something nice. It is intentionally noticing people, speaking truth into discouragement, pointing one another back to Jesus, and helping each other take one more faithful step.
Hebrews tells us to consider one another, to spur one another toward love and good works, and to keep gathering together so that encouragement can flow through the body of Christ.
Sometimes encouragement comforts. Sometimes it reminds. Sometimes it challenges. But real encouragement always points us back to Jesus.
God never intended for us to follow Him alone. He strengthens His people through His people.
So this week, don’t just think about encouraging somebody.
Actually do it.
Send the text. Make the call. Pray the prayer. Notice the person. Speak life.
Let’s be the kind of church where weary people find strength, discouraged people find hope, and every believer is reminded that they do not have to walk alone.
