โจ This Weekโs Episode โจ
Welcome to Episode 57 and a huge milestone for Some Imagination, Huh? โ our first major interview!
This week, weโre joined by the incredibly talented Emily Swallow for a special conversation about her career, Star Wars, acting, fandom, and much more.
Star Wars fans know Emily as The Armorer in The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett, where she brings one of the most mysterious and commanding Mandalorians to life. Beyond the galaxy far, far away, Emily has built an impressive career across television, voice acting, and the stage.
She is also well known for playing Amara/The Darkness in Supernatural, Kim Fischer in The Mentalist, and Dr. Natalie Pierce in SEAL Team. Her other credits include How to Get Away with Murder, Monday Mornings, Man with a Plan, and voice work as Lisa Tepes in Castlevania. Emilyโs theater career has also included major productions alongside performers such as Tom Hanks and Mark Rylance. Weโll talk with Emily about her journey as an actor, memorable roles throughout her career, what it was like stepping into the armor for The Mandalorian, her experiences with the Star Wars fan community, conventions, behind-the-scenes stories, and much more. Emily has spoken about how secretive her original Mandalorian audition was and how performing inside the Armorerโs helmet required a tremendous amount of trust in the crew around her.
