Someone’s In Here explores our cultural relationship to the bathroom; a topic that everyone can relate to but one that is almost never treated with the dignity that it deserves. The podcast follows host Ben Castleman on a journey as he talks to family, friends, scientists, doctors, CEOs, and even pornstars to figure out why talking about the bathroom, especially talking about poop, is so taboo and if it should be. While these conversations are almost always funny, they also examine the lessons and stories that we’re missing out on by not taking sh*t seriously. We hope you’ll come along for the ride.
Why are there seemingly no public restrooms in New York City and can our government or perhaps our new mayor, Zohran Mamdani, do anything about it? This week, a story about coalition building, people uniting through struggle, what it means to live in dignity and what happens to the fruit cups that Pret a Manger doesn't sell.

Ep. 3: Transit Anxiety
Sometimes our bodies surprise us; on rare occasions they do things that we didn’t even think were possible. In Episode 3, we dive into the True (...Poo?) Crime genre and discuss a night when my friend Max's body did something truly mysterious. As a poop journalist and a witness of the shocking events in question, I led a thorough investigation to see if we could solve a decade old mystery.
