Songs nobody asked me for

About Songs nobody asked me for

This is a podcast about chasing a dream that might be past it's sell-by date. It is hosted by the front man and song writer of The Curve, a UK based indie funk band chasing big dreams and tiny gigs whilst swimming against the tide of a relentless covers band scene. Stories, thoughts and interviews on songwriting, failing, trying again, failing again and maybe finding peace and progress within it all....ultimately a celebration of the joys of being a song writer and player of original music .....every week from 1st August 2025. Songs nobody asked me for. Episode 62: Burnout...

I'm feeling burnt out, which isn't pleasant, but I thought it would be honest and maybe useful to talk about it. It is a real part of the constant striving of a music career, and being a creative soul. We talk about mild mental health issues, distraction techniques and how the language we use matters. So. Today we touch on mental health and if that effects you I hope this will be a useful share of .y own small struggle. If it is something that impacts you you can get guidance by calling 111. All areas of the Country have talking therapies available (often with a long wait). In Plymouth that is Plymouth talking therapies.

Songs nobody asked me for. Episode 61: Ambition

Am I ambitious? And what does that actually mean. Is ambition the same as having ambitions. And is ambition enough in itself to help you to achieve your ambitions. Let's have a chat bout it while I question whether, at times I've been my own worst enemy....
