A daily podcast for people who are technically functioning — barely — and exhausted by advice that assumes energy they don't have.
If you've ever stood in the shower just standing there, stared at a text you couldn't answer, or known exactly what you should do while being completely unable to start it: this show is for you. I'm not a therapist or a doctor. I'm a soul living in survival mode, same as you — reading the actual research on depression and behavior, and translating it into things you can do from the couch, the bed, or the floor.
Episodes are 10–15 minutes, every day, built for low-energy brains: big ideas on Mondays, one tiny action on Tuesdays, myth-busting the wellness industry on Wednesdays, real-life stories on Thursdays, one study explained on Fridays. Saturdays are soft — five gentle minutes that ask nothing of you. Sundays we review the week with a strict no-shame policy.
Every month has one challenge sized for people at zero, and a free companion workbook with no dates, no streaks, and a page for when you disappear and come back. Because you will. That's designed in.
No hustle. No toxic positivity. No "just think positive." A B-minus effort that happens beats an A-plus plan that doesn't.
You can miss episodes, listen out of order, vanish and return. There's no behind here.
This show is education and company, not treatment. If you're in crisis, please reach out to a crisis line or someone you trust.
I passed my test. I'm getting out of the job. And now I'm sitting with something harder: I've been operating at 10-20 percent of my actual capacity. Every day. The other 80 percent? Locked behind safety. My nervous system has been allocating it to survival, to threat detection, to keeping me alive. So I scroll my phone instead. I dissociate. I waste it. But here's what changed: the immediate threat is gone. My nervous system has an opportunity to update. To learn that maybe I don't need 80 percent for survival anymore. So this month I'm working on safety — not achievement, not productivity, just: creating spaces where my body can relax. And as I do that, my nervous system will incrementally release that allocation. I'll access 30 percent. Then 40 percent. Then more. And I get to find out who I am when I'm not running on fumes. I'm not a therapist — just someone about to meet herself.

I Never Felt Truly Safe Anywhere
There's a baseline feeling that some people have—a sense of safety that's so fundamental they don't even notice it's there.
I didn't have that.
My family said cruel things to my face. My friends compared me, judged me, hurt me deliberately. And I responded by opening up more, trying to earn love and acceptance. That desperation led to hurt I never should have experienced.
This is the real-life story of what happens when safety was never modeled, and when your attempts to create it through vulnerability got weaponized.

You Just Need to Relax
Everyone has an opinion about your stress. "Take a deep breath." "You're overthinking." "Just calm down."
But if you grew up learning that the world isn't safe—or if you're dealing with ongoing threat—your nervous system isn't going to relax because someone told it to.
In this episode, we talk about:
Why "just relax" adds shame to fear
How your nervous system decides whether you're safe
The difference between reassurance and evidence
What actually works when your threat-detection system won't turn off
Because relaxation isn't something you force. It's something your nervous system allows—when it has enough evidence that you're actually okay.
