New Moon in Virgo & Venus Retrograde | Hasta Nakshatra, Vedic Astrology & Grounding
New Moon in Virgo | Hasta Nakshatra | Venus Retrograde | Vedic Astrology October 2026
The New Moon on 10 October 2026 falls in sidereal Virgo, within the fourth pada of Hasta Nakshatra, bringing themes of discernment, responsibility, emotional uncertainty and the need to find stability amidst change.
With Mercury ruling Virgo, the mind may be particularly active, seeking solutions, certainty and control. Yet this lunation invites us to recognise the difference between thoughtful action and overthinking.
As Venus travels retrograde, we are also invited to reconsider our relationships, values, desires and the ways in which we seek harmony, both within ourselves and with others.
Against a backdrop of heightened solar activity and potential geomagnetic disturbances, this episode explores the importance of grounding, nervous-system regulation and reconnecting with the body when the world feels unsettled.
In this episode, we explore:
The spiritual significance of the New Moon in Hasta Nakshatra
Mercury, Virgo and the relationship between the mind and nervous system
Venus retrograde and its themes
Solar activity, geomagnetic disturbances and the wider cosmic environment
Practical grounding techniques to cultivate steadiness, clarity and self-awareness
The invitation of this New Moon is not to control everything around us, but to develop greater awareness of how we respond.
Join me for an exploration of the cosmic weather through the lens of Vedic sidereal astrology, with practical insights to support your everyday life.

Full Moon in Pisces: The Final Goodbye | Vedic Astrology Forecast – Uttara Bhadrapada, September 2026
The Full Moon on 26 September 2026 falls at 9° Pisces in Uttara Bhadrapada nakshatra — taking us into the deep waters of emotion, memory, endings and release.
Arriving just after the equinox, this Full Moon marks a natural turning inwards. With the Moon closely accompanied by retrograde Neptune, old grief, dreams, beliefs and emotional patterns may resurface. But something returning to our awareness does not necessarily mean we are supposed to return to it.
Sometimes it comes back because we are finally ready to put it down.
In this Vedic Astrology forecast, we explore the Saturn-ruled waters of Uttara Bhadrapada and its ancient serpent symbolism; Jupiter exalted in Cancer; Mars moving through Pushya; the continuing story of the August solar eclipse in Ashlesha; and the approaching Venus retrograde.
We also look ahead to Saturn's return to Uttara Bhadrapada and the potential for themes arising now to develop through October and into November.
At the heart of this Full Moon is a deceptively simple instruction:
Get grounded.
Grounding does not mean suppressing what you feel. It means giving yourself enough stability to distinguish what you feel from what is actually happening.
What has reached its natural conclusion?
What are you still holding onto?
What are you devoted to?
And what have your previous difficulties taught you that can illuminate the way forward now?
I also take you through the Full Moon sign by sign for all 12 sidereal signs, followed by a simple embodied grounding practice to help navigate the emotional intensity of this lunation.
Sometimes the final goodbye isn't to another person.
Sometimes it's to the version of ourselves that we no longer need to be.

Vedic New Moon in Leo September 2026 | Purva Phalguni: Desire, Creativity & New Beginnings
The New Moon arrives at 24° sidereal Leo on 11 September 2026, in the fertile and creative nakshatra of Purva Phalguni.
After the disruption and revelations of eclipse season, this New Moon brings a change of emphasis. There is fire, passion and creative potential here — but can we distinguish genuine inspiration from urgency, desire and compulsion?
Purva Phalguni is ruled by Venus and connected with creativity, pleasure, relationship, fertility and the fruits of our actions. With Venus strong in Libra, new relationships, collaborations and alliances may help something new begin to take form. Mercury in Virgo wants a practical plan, while Mars adds considerable heat and momentum to our thinking and negotiations. Saturn, meanwhile, asks whether our ideas can actually withstand reality.
We also look at Ketu travelling through Magha, changing relationships with leadership, authority and the past, and Uranus stationing retrograde in Rohini, potentially disrupting established ideas around resources, food, security and material stability.
In this episode, I explore what this New Moon may mean through each of the twelve houses for your sidereal Ascendant, before finishing with a simple grounding practice for navigating the lingering intensity of the nodal axis.
The central question of this New Moon:
Is this inspiration — or is this compulsion?
Desire is information. It isn't necessarily an instruction.
