Lubiana - From Rejection to Purpose: The Kora, Faith, & Self Love | Soul Revolution Podcast #33
In this episode of Soul to Soul, we sit down with Lubiana for a deeply open conversation about music, faith, identity and finding the courage to follow your path.
Lubiana shares how teachers and peers once encouraged her to give up music, leaving her struggling with anxiety, self-doubt and the feeling that she simply wasn't good enough.
She also shares how she found the kora and how the instrument strengthened her faith, gave her a renewed sense of purpose and eventually led her to travel and study across West Africa, reconnecting more deeply with her Cameroonian heritage and identity.
We explore her relationship with God, whom she experiences as an ever-present feminine and masculine energy within all things, and the prayer rituals she practices before stepping onto stage, setting the intention for her music to carry love to everyone listening.
Lubiana reflects on moving away from seeking validation towards asking how she can be of service, navigating ego and social media as an artist, and the importance of listening to our intuition rather than constantly looking outside ourselves for answers.
A beautiful conversation about faith, purpose, ancestry, music and having the courage to follow the signs life places in front of us ❤️
