Soul Spot Mindful Moments is a gentle space to pause, breathe, and come back to yourself. Hosted by Michelle Strain, RSW, each episode blends grounding meditations and soft reflection to support your nervous system and help you feel less alone. No pressure to do it perfectly — just an invitation to arrive, one mindful moment at a time.
This podcast offers mindfulness and emotional wellness support for educational purposes only and is not a substitute for therapy, mental health treatment, or professional advice.
🌻 You don’t have to accomplish anything in this moment.
In this episode of Soul Spot Mindful Moments, I invite you to slow down, breathe, and allow yourself to simply be. Together, we’ll take a few quiet moments to soften the body, surrender our weight to gravity, and let go of the pressure to keep doing, fixing, or pushing.
Through intentional breathing, gentle grounding, and reminders that you are enough and you have done enough, this practice offers a space to settle your nervous system and come back to yourself.
There is nowhere else you need to be right now.
Just breathe. Let yourself be held. And surrender.

🌻 Two Things Can Be True: The Power of “And”
🌻 What if you stopped forcing yourself to choose between two truths?
You can be strong and need support. Grateful and struggling. Love someone and need distance. Understand someone’s pain and still hold a boundary. You can know you did your best and wish you had done some things differently.
In this episode of Soul Spot Mindful Moments, we explore the power of replacing “but” with “and” — a small shift in language that can create more space for self-compassion, accountability, boundaries, grief, healing, and the beautifully complicated experience of being human.
Maybe you don’t have to decide which feeling is the “right” one. Maybe both are true. And maybe there’s room for both. ❤️

🌻 When Did I Leave Myself Behind? | Self-Abandonment, Self-Sacrifice & Finding Your Way Back
🌻 Sometimes, losing ourselves doesn’t happen all at once.
It happens quietly—in the extra hours we give to work, the friendships we keep pouring into, the responsibilities we carry, the people we continually put before ourselves, and all the little moments when we tell ourselves, “I’ll get to me later.”
In this episode of Soul Spot Mindful Moments, I’m talking honestly about self-abandonment and self-sacrifice—not just in relationships, but in all the places in our lives where we can become so focused on everything and everyone else that we slowly leave pieces of ourselves behind.
We’ll talk about what it can look like when you’ve stopped listening to your own needs, why choosing yourself is not selfish, and how we can begin finding our way back to the person we may have unintentionally forgotten along the way.
This isn’t about getting it perfect. It’s about noticing. It’s about coming home to yourself again.
And if you’ve been giving everything you have to your job, your family, your relationships, your responsibilities, or simply surviving whatever life has placed in front of you lately—this conversation is for you. 🤍
